I just did my routine clean up of the boys and I found something rather unnerving. My 8 month old male veiled chameleon had a pile of poop in the base of one of his pathos plants. I went to clean it up and realized that it was moving... It had little white/beige worms crawling all over it. Is...
I ended up using reptile carpet and made rolls for hills. He seems to like it, I put a lot of plant branches and fake leaves in and covered the sides. He is doing well now.
I put leaves in the bottom of the cage and he kept getting tangled. He's going to wear this splint for at least a month I want him to be the most comfortable and I thought putting it on it's side would force him to climb on screen floor and it would hurt him
Hey guys, my chameleon has his left back leg splinted to his tail and is unable to walk properly. The vet told me to make sure he doesn't climb (which you see doesn't really stop him but at least he doesn't have a big plant to climb up,also he gets this far and goes back down). After like 10...
I think he is overtired I tried for a while to force his mouth open but he kept it shut and didnt even hiss, maybe his meds havent worn off, will try in the morning. I know how to medicate them because i had to treat my panther for pinworm once and my beardie for coxcidia.
same guy from broken leg thread. Hes home now with splint and I put the meds on his crickets and he wont eat them, it is way past his bed time and i know the meds are anti inflamatory so what do I do? there are 4 large crickets, do I try to force feed him or take them out or leave them and turn...
its called Metacam idk if that helps or not. I left the 4 crickets with him, let me know if I should take anymore action. I will turn the light out late tonight but normal the other days.
He's home safe and sound now got a nice red splint now. I need to give him oral meds but I missed his mouth and he got some of it I think so I put the rest on crickets and he shows no interest in them what should I do? Should I give him the other dose for tomorrow and get another from the vet or...
The vet took an X-ray and told me that there was no fracture. However his leg has appeared to have bended back around itself. The vet said he shows no signs of MBD but he suspects that the deformity was from youth MBD and didn't become noticeable until his fall. He described it as a drinking...
I went to check on my male veiled chameleon and he was in the bottom corner of the cage all grey. I picked him up and his leg looks really screwed up. I think he might have fallen and broke it, I put him back on the branch and he's back on the floor again. I know its not MBD because he is in...
Thanks everyone. I got really lucky with him. He was white/grey when I first picked him up as a baby from Petsmart. Nursed him back to health and now hes gorgeous.:D
