Welcome to the forums. I use a 60 watt wbite household bulb for basking and have it hanging about 4 inches above the cage, about 7 inches from the basking spot and it keeps it right at 87F. I wouldnt suggest putting it right on top of the cage becauae if your cham get up there it could burn it...
Ok well thats good. Hmmm it could possibly be a cricket or something that bit. I would suggest making sure all the feeders are out of the cage before the lights go off. And if you are letting them free range try to keep track of where they are and how many are there. I would just leave them...
If they are in the same cage... well you obviously need to remove them as chams are extremely territorial. Also, why check on them? Let them sleep. They need complete darkness for around 12 hours. I know i dont like it if i woke up and someone was standing over me with the light on
20 seconds isnt long enough. It should be every 2 hours for atleast 2 mins with one long mist of 5 mins plus depending on your humidity levels. The long mist i recommend should be early afternoon, after eating. And you should also be dusting twice a month with a multi vitamin

My 4 month old panther will eat 5 to 12 medium size crickets a day before like 1pm. Then he likes to top it off with a dubia roach. I have tried feeding him dubias first and he wont have it. Just a single one when hes finished. Very picky lol
