I have a gravid female you can have 2 babies when she gives birth and after they are old enough . Only thing is you gotta come to hawaii and get an export permit and they are yours!
I found this great rolling cabinet by a dumpster about a week ago. Here's what I did to turn it into an awesome enclosure:
First I cut out the 2 sides and the back. The front has 2 glass doors with heavy duty magnet latches.
Next I cut out the bottom which turned into my drain area which goes...
I can't free range the critters because my cham is being free ranged himself.. his main food is Dubias. Maybe I'll skip a day of feeding and see if it helps. Thanks
Long story short.. cham will only hand feed just stares inside cup when I try. Dad coming to town will be watching Chams for 3 weeks would like for Chams to cup feed .. any tips? I feel like he is spoiled and only likes to hand feed!
You should not have a chameleon until you can afford food and everything else to make it live comfortably. Try catching a moth or 2 outside at night near a light source.
My female is finally old enough for mating, and it was successful on my first attempt.
Question: should I reintroduce the male into her enclosure again to make sure she gets pregnant ? If so how often? I basically connected the 2 free range areas with a log so he could have access.
See below...
Right on! I usually stop in kula on my way to haleakala crater and find mine. They don't really live anywhere else. Do you also catch your own feeders? If so what kinds do you feed them ?
Awesome, I also catch chameleons here in maui. I have never seen one before, makes me wonder if it's from birth or somehow it split after birth? I'll attach a few of mine that I've had for a while!Yoshi my male and Cera my female . Aloha bradda
