Thank you for your response. I'm not at all blaming you guys on here for her death, I'm just trying to create a bigger emphasis on how important it really is to go to a vet first thing. Sorry if it came across the wrong way. I'm not sure what type of parasites she had, I'm sure its somewhere in...
Thank you :) Chryssa was a really special Chameleon and had the most sweet personality ever. She loved being handled and was just the biggest friendly sweetheart ever. I don't know if another tree dragon is anywhere in my near future, but maybe one day :)
My sweet Chryssa passed away this morning around 12:00. I feel like I should reiterate what generally happened so people can avoid the same mistakes.
First off, I bought Chryssa from Petco. I don't regret this because I got her out of terrible living conditions and I offered her a better life...
I'm looking into buying some silkworms, some dubias, black soldier fly larvae, and some hornworms online. The silkworms and hornworms need to be tiny babies since Chryssa is just getting out of her adolescent phase; she isn't very big. Do you guys have any recommended websites that I could go...
Thank you so so so much! I'll try to make the switch to RO filters. I read that distilled water still does not remove the chlorine from the water, so I'm thinking that wouldn't be the safest idea, let me know your thoughts on that. For now, though, I'll keep using my tap water with the...
I was under the impression that the Reptisafe Instant Terrarium Water Conditioner was important to remove the chlorine from the water so Chryssa could drink the water. Can she drink tap water straight from the source without conditioning?
The liquid calcium was just an alternative I was told to...
Hey there, I need some more help from you guys! Chryssa is eating normally again! I just wanted to make sure I wasn't making her sick by giving her calcium with d3. I have a variety of different products but almost NONE of them specify whether there is d3 in the products?!? I can't find much on...
Yeah, me too! The bag they ate their way out of was only supposed to have 25 in there. There were still upwards of 10 in the bag AFTER I collected the 25 wandering my bedroom.
Thank you!! Yeah I just fell in live with Chryssa the minute I saw her. She came right down her branch to say high to me, and begged to be held. I did research, and decided i would put up with the bugs because she's worth it. The bugs are definitely harder to deal with than I originally thought...
I had no idea they mistreated their Chameleons! I got my Chryssa from a Petco, actually. That's terrible :( and thank you for the info on the roaches! I dont think I'm ready to breed them, but it would be the smarter investment. I'll look into it. Also... the Red Runners breed faster, does that...
I've heard a lot about those little critters. I have to find out if they sell those guys at petsmart or Petco! I'm not quite up to raising my own bugs yet. Too scared :/
