So I have had a veiled chameleon for almost a year now and he is doing very well, however, I was thinking of adding a Jackson's (separate enclosures of course). I know the very basics of Jackson care but I wanted to do my due diligence and get all the research done before seriously considering...
So I have a male veiled who is almost an adult. He has an automatic mister that goes off every four hours for two minutes. After a misting, the humidity jumps to almost 70 then after ten minutes it drops to 50 and a half-hour after it goes down to 45-50% where it stays until the next misting. I...
Thanks, MissSkittles and Beman! So I made a few changes. I removed the t8 bulb and replaced it with a T5 HO 5.0 lamp. I also took out the moss and fake vines and added a few more plants and will add horizontal branches tomorrow. I also removed the dripper because he really doesn't seem to use...
Thanks so much! I really appreciate the feedback! I am going to make the enclosure changes today and order a dragon ledge. How often should I buy crickets and how many each time? As far as his casque goes it is definitely the camera angle, I will post a pic later. Thanks again!
Your enclosure looks great! Plenty of places to hide and escape the heat! It really just seems like he is patrolling which is completely normal. The only thing I am noticing is the small black dots on his face, they look like burns but I could be wrong.

Like everyone else said, it's normal. Try misting it, sometimes that helps. Eventually, it will fall off. Just make sure it isn't getting infected or cutting circulation.
Feeding chams vegetables is a point of controversy. I personally don't feed Boaz any greens, but I won't stop him from munching on his live plants, they actually provide him with some hydration. That being said they are insectivores so plants are not really in their diet so I would keep it to a...
Yes, she is about to shed. When did you notice the change in color? If it was today I would hold off on using any kind of shedding aid unless she really needs it. Other than that she looks perfectly healthy! Her eyes are full and there are no signs of MBD. It's good that she is drinking. Chams...
