He is patrolling. My boy Boaz does the same thing, if there is nothing obviously wrong with him I wouldn't worry. Can we see a pic of his enclpoure? He might be trying to escape something or looking for places to cool off or hide.
I have noticed that in mine as well. That's normal, they are basically cleaning it, and/ or removing water from the eye. Does he do it after misting or at random?
I agree with everyone else. Stay away from sappy trees and stick with hardwood. Also, make sure that the wood is not rotting or has fungal/ insect growth.

I would consider cutting back on the misting to maybe every four hours and have the dripper on for a few hours a day. You just want to avoid too much water build-up that could cause mold growth or harvest bacteria. Your enclosure looks fairly easy to clean so it's not too much of a problem but...
Yeah, I have a full spectrum aquarium light that bought from petco. Full-spectrum bulbs are the best option for live plants and do not harm chams at all.
it's beautiful! Good call taking out the poinsettias, their sap is toxic. I also like the use of bamboo. If anything I would add some more hiding places.
