I'm doing my on going research on female veils and I am confused. The reptile specialist at the pet store I bought from told me that they will lay false clutches. She then mentioned that I should leave a pot of soil at the base of the enclosure for her to dig in to lay her eggs.
Can anyone...
I have the usual UVB and UVA lamps, I have actual grow lamps I could give it, but I don't really think it'll be necessary. Also, yes it is a Schefflera, a varigated variety I propagated myself. It's only about a foot tall right now, not nearly the height of my 4 foot enclosure, so I'm...
I'll be sure to post pictures, I'm still adding all my live plants, it's a 100 gallon mesh enclosure so its got a ways to go.
Thanks Dave. I probably wouldn't have actually made the purchase if it weren't for your advice.
Hello, I was recommended here from yahoo answers. I am a proud new owner of a female veiled chameleon named Limey.
My name is Matlock and I am a botanist.
This is just my introduction. I hope to meet many of you soon, as I'm sure I will have many questions as I learn more about Limey.
I'm very much new to this but I have my umbrella tree sitting at the bottom of the enclosure now, under this new low light condition it will grow tall quickly. I just want to know if it is chameleon safe.
Note: I'm a botanist, so if you can recommend any plants I'll be sure to find them...
