does he open his mouth alot as well? When Argo started opening his mouth I could see the siliva better and it was bubbly. Vet visit later and found out that it was an upper repitory infection. I just that it was normal until the vet told me it wasn't because he did it when I first got him...
Just got back from the vet. Its a uri. Vet thinks it couod be a combo of coming from the petstore and with the stress of moving to a new home. Everything else looks good, just got meds that I have to give him daily. Also we are going back in 2 weeks to see how hes doing :)
I think my humidiy gage isn't in a good spot in the cage. I'll pick up another one and place it in a different spot and see if it's different rrading. So far today he hasn't done it. Could it have been because I had the windows open? Maybe breathing in the fresh outside air?
It's not while he's basking. He walks around rhe cage and around the mid level he stops and starts breathing from his mouth almost like he's out of breath
I work for petco and atleast at my store we do take them to local reptile vets (atleast my store). Problem is the cages we have there are not made for chameleons :(
I know problems can stem from that. My guy is doing much better noe that he is with me in a proper cage. I show everyone photos of...

Handling - only about 3-5 times in the last month.
Feeding - main food is crickets but I do give him the atleast one of the following along side crickets dub/spotted roaches, superworms, meal worms, wax worms, and stink...
Plus the city gives you those expensive nee bulbs for free because of the ban so win win I guess, I can still buy the pet ones and Im sure I could order the others online, but it so much simpler just to grab one from the pet store
some areas do have incandescents banned. My area is one of them thats why I have to buy mine from the petstore. My city has its own seprate power from the state (makes it cheaper for me) but my city and surrounding areas have these bulbs banned to keep power cheap or something like that...i have...
Argo wasnt happy for the first few minutes, but he did settle down when he got some natural sunlight :)
Wasnt a fan of coming back in the house after and than happy again to see his cage :)
The mood swings are real lol
As someone who works at petco I can say that the jacksons are captive bred. While we do sell some wild caught reptiles, the jacksons are not ;)
When I got Argo I did verify this because I know wild caught are harder to aclimate
My little guy doesnt seem bothered by light. I dont have an auto timer yet (got one but didnt work so I took it back will get another) and a few nights Ive been late getting home. Argo doesnt like to be late for bedtime if Im late so he will sleep under a leaf. Ive come home and hes in his pjs...
