We are going to see a vet for the first time this Friday, no health concerns just bringing in a sample for his first fecal and getting established with the exotic vet near me Incase we need to visit in the future. What are some things I can do to make it as minimally stressful for my Cham as I can?

It’s super unfortunate that pet stores know basically nothing when it comes to reptiles :( I got my little guy from an actual reptile store and they still gave me some janky info. Hopefully you can make it to the vet and he can recover!

This Cham looks very ill. I reccomend a vet visit. Hopefully some more experienced keepers chime in with some other suggestions.

This is so true!! Geckos are like little dogs, they are always happy to crawl around and hang out. Chameleons are like little teenagers, way too cool to hang out with mom

My very favorite is while he’s hunting he turns bright bright almost turquoise with little speckles. If people changed colors like this I would also be that visibly excited when eating lol

I put one of his little trees on the floor of the tub with him on it, then I face the shower head towards the wall so he’s only getting a little misted and can move out of the way of the water if he needs too :) it’s a good time for him to drink and clean his eyes with out me being there misting...

This was so sweet! I’m currently in school to be a veterinarian (my first year! Yay!) so we won’t be having any little people for a good while. I’m content with my reptile children for now haha

They deserve it! Part of the reason I accepted a better job was so Jameson and my dog could be even more spoiled lol. We don’t have kids yet so my heart belongs to our little animal babies :love:

He shouldn’t mind being moved! A friend of mine has a panther that notoriously falls asleep on his free range set up during the evenings. She just scoops him up and puts him back in his enclosure :)
