Ugh I’ve been there! A couple weeks after I finally felt good about my colony and like they had really been established my leos decided “no thanks mom we don’t like these anymore.”
For a minute there we just had pet roaches lol Luckily they changed their minds eventually
Reptiles are so cute and quirky in this way. I love how they just change their minds about feeders sometimes, or even just hold out until you’re willing to slip them a super worm ;)
He seemed pretty happy with them today! I was nervous about the size but he didn’t seem to have a problem, and now I dont have to worry about starting a cricket colony to keep me from going to the pet store a million times a week
Interesting! I figured since I have them I might as well try it out. And if he does like them it would be nice to switch it up from crickets every now and then
How do your chams feel about Dubias? I have a little colony that I have maintained for my leopard geckos, and I think I have a few that may be small enough for little Jameson :)
They’ve been being gutloaded with mainly sweet potato and different greens, and well as the occasional over ripened...
Me too!! The other night his humidity gage fell and I had to reach into fix it and he got super grumpy, but I was able to see some really pretty color potential!!
We have had my sweet boy for almost 1 week! He’s already shown improvements in not being as stressed in his new home so we decided to try and handle him today, it went much better than expected and I am so thrilled! With a little coaxing via cricket, he made his way into my hand and then took it...
That is his little drip system. The dampness on the outside of the dish is from misting. The puropse of it is not water collection I assure you! I haven’t noticed it collecting much water at all and if I do I will definitely move it. :)
Thank you for easing my nerves! His dad is on the way home with a Pothos and a croton plant as we speak and I’ve got a big amazon order on the way with more branches and vines! Thank you again!!
