Female. And she's severely stressed out. When a chameleon closes its eyes it's not a sign of endearment like a puppy or another mammal. It's the chameleon shutting down and excepting its fate.
I have a male Ambanja I've had for a year now with auto mister and he still runs from it. I've only ever seen him drink once or twice. Some just don't like getting wet. My other male Ambilobe could care less. He just sits in it and let's it happen.
Bob Cochran is the man you want to talk to.

I love LLL Reptile for their products and shipping speed of those products. However I have heard quite a few complaints from their animal sales. They're not breeders. I guess if I could categorize LLL it would be a pet store with premium reptile supplies that doesn't take the best of care of...
It shouldn't be overly difficult. Our veterinary hospitals are still considered essential.
Do you know if Reptivite contains Vit A in Retinol form at all?
I need pictures of just the back of the back feet please for proper sexing. I'm leaning towards female though. What multivitamin are you using? Has it ever shed in your care? Also I'm recommending you pick up a commercial gutload like Repashy Bug Burger and or Cricket Crack. This will help get...
My wife and I live in Colorado. Technically a "Hotspot" with over 3k cases. However, in our county we have only 10 positive cases as of yet. My wife and I are both considered "Essential" however, I call it "Sacrificial", so our money is still flowing and bills are still being paid in full and on...
Not off the top of my head. You'll want to do a deep deep clean on your setup before you get a new one anyways. If it was a parasite like Coccidia you could be unintentionally getting your new one sick if that's what it was. So you'll want to treat it like that's what it was. I'll hit up some...
I doubt you'll ever get your money back from CB Reptile. If and when you would like to try again just come here and we will set you up with a breeder that is top notch.
We do this mainly for keepers of veiled chameleons. Juveniles have a terrible habit of this and I have in fact witnessed with my first chameleon Camo in the act. He was approximately a 4-5 month old male veiled Petco chameleon. Before I found this forum, I had him in a 40x12x19 hybrid screen and...
What type of bulb 5.0, 10.0, 6%, 12%? Babies that young need it cooler. In fact some breeders tend not to use basking bulbs for baby panthers until 4 or 5 months of age. You want his basking temp in the low 80s high 70s for a bit.
What are his temps at the basking spot? Are you using a T8 or T5 for UVB? What's the bulb strength? My biggest concern is you bought too young of a chameleon from a very unreputable source. CB Reptile is basically a reptile mill. My guess is he could have parasites. You will want to get a fecal...
