I agree - the best I saw my first veiled was right before she passed - she was beautiful - but she was stressed - Steve is mostly dark greens, hints of yellow, but hes doing great
Does it matter how much of each? Mantisplace sells the feeder cups with screen lid and a place to put wood chips, and a place for water and some ladder work for food - I'm thinking I can save some $ and use a 2 lb deli cup, poke some hole in it and add stuff to bottom and maybe slather some...
Thinking of buying a mix from Mantisplace, it claims tohave this in it....
casein, powered sugar, Bee Pollen, brewers yeast and another ingredient. ANybody ever use it?
Prayers for you all....and the kitten is a kitten.....keep us posted....I worried the first time we were gone and Steve and the dog were together. Maverick sometimes shows interest around the cage since I am spending probably way too much time staring at it.
I noticed in your photos the yellow on the "vines" that look like something chomped on them. I have that too. Any idea? Was wondering if it was crickets, and worried about it being passed on
What about gut loading them? Is it possible? I think I read something about bee pollen - I will try to pop them in the fridge before I feed them - this morning 10 flew out....took 5 minutes for him to catch them all- it was crazy!
Put mine on 1/2 inch crickets at 11 weeks - try some blue bottle fly spikes - Steve won't eat worms, so it too a few days and they turned into flies - not my favorite - but he goes crazy You can order them from Josh's frogs.
Doing a shout out to these guys. Just got 500 crickets and they are the most active bunch I've ever bought. Steve is having a great time hunting them down. I didn't see 1 dead one in the box. Also ordered blue bottle fly spikes - my guy is not a worm eater, but he is loving the flies Me not...
