The cages are 16x16x30, standard reptibreeze cages. My intention is in keeping them. I really don't have the room for bugger cages than that. I also had read online 16x16x30 is fine. I don't see it as an insufficient amount of space and my ballast is in a good position well above the screen.
Yeah well like I said I can't, they are standard reptibreeze cages, I'm sure their fine. Thanks for the concern though. They definitely aren't too big for their cages at this point.
Thanks, I get that the cages are too small but there's nothing I can do about my apartment not having the space. My chameleons are all still small, and the bately utilize the space they have now. Thanks for the concern but there's literally nothing I can do, I do not have the space. You can keep...
Mine is 12x12x24 so that's why I went with a 12 inch ballast, I figured the difference between 6% and 7% would be negligible.
All of my chameleons are so small at this point and my apartment is so small, 24x24x48 cages wouldn't be viable.

I found it but the ballast is too long. I have this 24 inch ballast and then the 6% t5 UVB ballast, so for my jacksons chameleon I'm going to get the 12inch shade dweller 7% uvb ballast and then I'll find some...
My jacksons chameleon is growing tired and stressed over the temporary ballast I have in her cage, and I forgot which bulbs I needed to purchase for my chameleons. Last time I believe I bought a UVB 6% and another bulb, but I don't know which one I bought. The UVB bulb from my understanding...
I wanted to share. Yesterday I raised my ballasts another 2 inches. It is winter season and it got pretty cold last night so I think my panther and jacksons chameleons are waking up cold, which would explain screen climbing behavior, as it really only happens when they wake up cold, they start...
Glad to see my suggestions were decent based on my experience, albeit coming from a negative or bad situation, the advice we can offer from experience helps. we all still have learning to do and it's kinda up to the individual to heed the advice and feedback. Sometimes it just takes awhile to...
Not hijacking your thread at all but this is the oicture of my setups post changes. Previously my ballast was right up against the roof of their cages, which is why my veiled is now basking up higher and my panther basking at her normal level. (Veiled as of posting is high in her enclosure...
Hi, I actually logged in today because my panther has been having a similar issue. The eye drops my vet prescribed work somewhat to abate the symptoms temporarily but the issue comes back. What I have done to address my issues:
1. Thanks to the other members here, they pointed out my supplement...
That's not a bad way to do it. I try to leave them alone overall and really only bother them for water, and feedings, and in this ones case, eye drops.
My jackson and veiled tend to be this way. My jacksons is relatively mild mannered but she does poof up. Also if I stand with her outside on my finger and a car drives by, she tends to try and hide from them, she does not hide this way from me. From experience all of my female chams are really...
I have to handle daily to help with eye drops, so she doesn't spend much time out of her cage, I just snapped this real quick after setting her back in.
She's chill, as in she tolerates when I hold her. Sometimes she will go super light on me, this generally speaking is the color she prefers. I'm pretty white so she will go really light when she is on me and then I put her back and she'll go semi dark. I've only seen maroon when I've brought her...
When she's really calm she will go light, usually she will turn almost white or very light pink. But those are her typical "I'm now back in my cage" colors.
