Do you keep any other reptiles in screen cages?

I bet giant day geckos would do good in screen cages. I have a pair an 18 x 24 glass vivarium, but I wonder if they'd do better in a larger screen enclosure. Some people do keep them like that.

    New Enclosure Critique?

Haha, I think you're exactly right. I'm just a bit nervous about getting a chameleon so I was thinking along the lines of... maybe a veiled is a tiny bit hardier. The colors of panthers are really enticing though. Oh, great idea on replanting the schefflera. That's basically what we always do...

Haha same here. I have 2 leucs and one of them just started calling. So cute when they do that!

    Lets see your dart frogs!

Thanks a lot. :) They're pretty addictive, just like chameleons I'm guessing lol. None of mine have bred yet, but I do have a few pairs so hopefully at some point. Dart frogs eat fruit flies (the vast majority of their diet), springtails, isopods, rice flour beetle larvae etc. Really small...

    Repashy Calcium Plus?

So, I have been reading multiple threads on calcium and the general consensus seems to be calcium without D3 each feeding, calcium with D3 every other week and a multivitamin ever other week. But a few people mentioned simply using Repashy Calcium Plus as an alternative to all of that, if I'm...

    New Enclosure Critique?

I wondered about that. I've had the schefflera in my living room since Dec and have watered it kind of sparingly and it's done okay so far but it looks like I don't want to divert the water from the dripper into the base of the plant after all. For lights, I have several of the Beamswork LED...

Where do chameleons poop with a free range setup?

Yeah, that makes sense. It would be cool to have a free range right next to your screen cage where you could connect it to the open door of the cage. so they could still feed and drink water in the enclosure (and get UV light) and then just go explore outside the cage when they felt like it...

Where do chameleons poop with a free range setup?

I love the idea and the looks of these free ranges, but is it kind of messy? Nobody seems to say much about where they poop lol.

    New Enclosure Critique?

Would adding an LED 6500K light help with the Shefellera? Also, it's next to a window for added sunlight, maybe that will help some? I want to add more plants for sure, especially pothos. Pothos seem to thrive just about anywhere. I think I'm going to double up both my jungle vines and fasten...

    New Enclosure Critique?

I just set up a 24" x 48" screen cage. It has plastic fencing on the sides to help with climbing. It has an umbrella plant, 2 large exo terra vines and some sticks. I think I need more horizontal branches and was thinking of getting them from the woods if that's okay. Lighting is a T5 zoo med...
