    Staying in sleeping spot

Hmm, okay. It has been a few days that I have seen an accessible poo sample that I could take. I'm thinking of picking up hornworms on my way home from work today to see if hydrating him will help at all. He usually will poop shortly after having one or two of them also. It's been a while...

    Staying in sleeping spot

I think that might be his back toes - I didn't notice anything wrong with his vent that I have seen

    Staying in sleeping spot

Martin has started doing this again, but it has been about a week or more now without him moving and he is showing darker spots of color along his spine while he is in his spot. I managed to get him out and try to get him some natural sun to see if it would help. His coloration seems different...

UVI at Marty's UVB basking branch

I moved the fixture to be more centered over his basking spots. The readings for the spots I see him in most are all within 1-3UVI with the new configuration. Most of the time he is in the spots that are ~1.5 UVI, but I occasionally see him bask on the branch closest to the bulb that has the...

UVI at Marty's UVB basking branch

Thank you for the replies! Where do you purchase your replacement UVB bulbs? I originally got mine with the fixture from lightyourreptiles but they don't seem to have Arcadia replacement bulbs from what I saw at the moment

    Staying in sleeping spot

Okay, I hope that is all it is. I haven't changed anything in his husbandry since it has been reviewed here so I don't think anything should be off. Is over 3 months between sheds okay? His eyes have been open since his lights came on, but he has stayed in his spot

    Staying in sleeping spot

Marty has been in his sleeping spot with his tail curled since his lights came on this morning (for almost 5 hours). I haven't changed anything with my husbandry and haven't noticed him looking off or acting different lately. I had made a post about him not shedding in a long while. It has...

    Shedding frequencies

He's just about 1 year old now but I haven't been keeping track of weights - he hasn't looked to have gained or lost a noticeable amount of weight since he was last shedding more frequently as far as I can tell 8Nov2020 7Sep2020 (end of most recent shed)

    Shedding frequencies

Marty hasnt shed in probably about 10-11 weeks now. Ive seen that around every 4-8 weeks is normal. Temperatures are dropping in my area a little (Raleigh, NC) and so the humidity has been dipping as well. Although, I haven't seen it lower than 43% according to my house thermostat and a...

    Baby panther chameleon

What brand of multivitamin are you using? Also, many people alternate dusting with calcium + d3 and multivitamin once per week so that you're only giving calcium d3 and multivitamin twice a month each. @Gingero has a good video describing this schedule. What is the strength of your UVB bulb...

    Baby panther chameleon

I think a good way is to have a free range type plant to put them on so they are not in the enclosure while you are manipulating things. Personally, I have a 4ft tall schefflera that I put my cham on while I do things in his enclosure Also, it is a good idea to fill out the "how to ask for...

    Sleeping in different spots

Martin has started sleeping in varying areas for the past couple weeks or so and will often be up and moving around until his lights turn off. He always used to have the same spot or general area that he would sleep in even in his new cage for the first month or so, but has stopped doing that...

Good place to buy a large free range tree

Ended up finding this one for pretty cheap at a different nursery nearby. ~4' so not as tall as I wanted, but hoping to grow it a bit and put it in a nice pot and on a plant stand. It was only $40! Marty seems to like it

Good place to buy a large free range tree

Yeah I checked there and really liked a clusia that I saw. But, after a quick search I found some concerns about toxicity. Didnt have much luck with taller ficus' or schefflera there though

Good place to buy a large free range tree

I've been looking for around a 6' tall ficus or schefflera to use as a free range setup but they seem to be pretty expensive on most of the websites I've seen. I tried my local lowes also, but couldn't find one. Does anyone have recommendations for vendors?
