Hmm, I implemented a similar schedule today while I was at work (except it was at 3:45pm) with lights off and a good 5 minute mist to simulate a good rain. I only have this going twice a week at the moment (Mondays and Thursdays at or around 4pm).
My other mistings are an hour before lights on...
I switched up the misting to go off about 1.5 hours before lights on this morning and noticed my cham on the floor of his enclosure about 15 minutes after the lights turned on.
He climbed up and ate a couple dubias and a BSF or two before I left and seemed to be okay I think. But, I had never...
Pretty sure there is an ammonia odor that BSFL give off when they eat and subsequently poop just as a fair warning.
I havent personally experienced this as I dont feed my BSFL anything. There's a podcast episode on chameleon academy about BSFL
Posted this to show the recommended misting and hydration schedule.
I have kept my panthers room temp from 68-74 at night so far (he's 6-7 months old atm) and I always mist twice over night for 1.5min

Yeah I figured it'd be best to separate, especially for colonies but I dont have much more room atm and it would be a little interesting to explain another big box of roaches in the house lol.
Maybe once I feed off the dubia I have, I'll look into it again.
Thanks!!
I'm thinking about trying out some red runners to mix with the Dubias I have been feeding to get them moving around.
Can red runners be kept with either discoid or Dubias in the same container?
Would they breed alongside them as well?

I had to shave for work a week or so ago so I snapped this beauty
I have thought about implementing that a couple times a week with longer sessions to simulate a good rain.
I currently only have a short 1.5 minute session shortly after the lights come on. The couple others I have are throughout the night.
Do you turn the lights off for every session if...
I like that idea. I might have to wait until the bigger cage is finished. There's pretty limited space on the top of his current cage and I'm nervous to spray the light fixtures on accident
My 6-7 month old panther has been going through some behavior changes (as some of you may know), but I realized that it was a pretty drastic change from what his normal was as soon as I had installed a mist king in his enclosure.
This morning he was eager to get out of his enclosure again...
