New chameleon, unsure of age and gender!

Looking good! She looks much better too. Fluker Farmd make bend a branch vines that are Cham tested 😁 you can get them on Amazon too. I suggest the small and medium sizes. Once you give her a bigger build you can add large ones also order zip ties while you are at it. Get the variety of sizes. I...

    what noise bothers chameleons?

Hello and welcome to the forum! Best place for advice and feedback on the net. They do hear. One of mine calms right down when I hum or sing. The vibration they pick up also. Beman is right about loud music etc. I had one crush the cartilage in my ear once when a firetruck drove by and blew its...

New chameleon, unsure of age and gender!

Beman said you have the right uvb light and I see you have the right basking setup. She is a screen walker so you might want to prop the basking light up a bit so the metal edges and heat don’t make the screen hot so she will get burned. You can use something light wooden spoons to prop it up a...

Unusual chameleon behavior? Looking for input :)

Welcome! You have come to the right place. Filled with nice knowledgeable people that have the interest of the chameleon at heart. I will let someone else do a husbandry review for you. First warning is that veiled chams love to nibble on plants. So you have to move the fake ones to the...

Brought Wild Chameleon Back to Life

Oh I got this solar panel from them to charge your phone. It cost like $2. So I figured it was good to keep in the car for emergencies. It’s small you would need something bigger but it has a usb lead on it.

Brought Wild Chameleon Back to Life

Well if its sealed then you can run power to it or get power from solar to run lights. If it gets cold in winter you will need a basking bulb too. They have all kinds of lights and gadgets running solar now. Just a thought. You really don’t want to chance MBD it’s horrible for the Cham and some...

Has anyone ever used superworms beetles as staples?

Well I have had many change to the beetle in the cage but my Cham just ignores them and I rush to kill them as they are so hard I am afraid they will cut his mouth! An injured tongue is not worth it in my opinion. But I also feel that a Cham knows better of what he can and can’t eat so variety...

Does this veiled chameleon have sunken eyes

Looks like she/he is ready to molt. I agree with the statement above to. Just make sure you have a drip system set up that is at the same place usually dripping onto plant leaves so she knows where to go.

Brought Wild Chameleon Back to Life

Yes I read you post on that. You’re the one with the glass plant house right?! Anyway was thinking that maybe a side panel of glass where the sun shines in could be switched out with screen. Then you can set up food station there. Good luck to you. It’s a lovely habitats if you can figure it out.

I think so cause before it starts coming back the color on his face darkens a bit. Anyway it’s good to know some techniques in case you find one in this condition. You never know and a life is always worth saving if possible.

Get some carnivore diet to give to him if you think he is starving. Also it will give him a vitamin boost.

Feel like im failing my chameleon, constant stress.

Adults three feeders every three days plus snacks. I suggest that you don’t increase humidity especially since there was a RI. Make sure you don’t blast him with water or fog too. Make sure you give him space to get away from it if he wants to.

    Postpartum depression

Well the first time my panther laid eggs she did it over four days and wasn’t cool with me even looking till she was done so I must disagree with the statement that they lay in one session. The second time she dug a hole to china and filled it on day three. Bless their little hearts.

Feel like im failing my chameleon, constant stress.

Hello I am so sorry you are having these issues. I really do know where you are coming from. My vet said 80 was not hot enough for my veiled and suggested 95. I did put in a higher watt bulb to bring it up to 90 and he seems to like it with no burns to his casque so I will leave it there. I have...

    Setting Up Journey

Looks great. Btw beware Fatsia plant's sap is toxic to dogs, causing oral irritation and gastrointestinal issues. Immediate vet attention needed if your dog ingests any part of the plant. I would avoid this plant if I were you.

Is acrylic paint safe to use around chameleons?

Well I paint ceramics on a table not too far from my Cham cages. These paints don’t have fumes and I have never had a reaction with my babies. Ceramic paints are very similar to craft paints as they are both water soluable without an oil base. You can always have the fan on you blowing away from...

    Sperm plug

Now that does not look like sperm plugs I have dealt with. Here are some pics. In the second pic you can see two little leads that came from each head. It felt like wax and hardened and shrunk with time. It was quite large and interferred with urates. Urates were not formed just urine pooled out.
