The casque is pretty much their skull. So if it were to break, it's probably game over. They can heal small injuries--kind of like if you were to get hit with a baseball on the head. You might get a permanent dent in your skull but you would be okay.
But yeah, chameleons aren't known for their...
Thank you to everyone who voted for my video! I'm stoked that I won bronze!! Bronze looks a lot like gold ngl! 😁
And congrats to the winners!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Two legends claimed gold and silver! I couldn't be salty if I tried. Very happy with the outcome! Plus, tying with @Action...
Scroll up to the top of this page. You will see some thumbnail images. To the left of those images, there should be a little circle. Click on my submission and one other. Scroll back down to the last submission's thumbnail and somewhere to the right should be the "Cast Vote" button. Click on that.
I think it depends on a lot of factors. My Jackson's chameleon was literally starstruck with the arcadia light. He wouldn't move away from it. He was like a deer in the headlights. He wouldn't go to the basking zone, he wouldn't move at all. He would just be pancaked under the jungle dawn all...
Here's an arcadia t5 fixture:

Psych! I never knew uvb+fixture could be so expensive haha. Wrong power anyways. But...
I really like Schefflera amate. And there is also Schefflera actinophylla (which has some really awesome flowers if you google it). I bought my amate over a year ago and it hasn't lost a single leaf (I'm not kidding). When I had a Schefflera arboricola (dwarf umbrella), that thing started...
There's nothing you can do to treat him yourself, unfortunately. Your Jackson's chameleon has a very severe temporal gland infection (TGI) which can be seen in the corner of the lip. When left untreated, the infection can spread, causing the eye to bulge and bloat. He needs vet care asap. I know...
Keep us updated on tomorrow's poop. While it is small, at least the urates that are present look healthy
@Sonny13 @Action Jackson have you seen this in your parsonii?
Depending on how long ago you switched, I most likely would hold off on giving additional supplements besides plain calcium. How long ago was this switch? Reptivite has the necessary levels of Vitamin A . Too much vitamin A (which could be the case here--though really hard to tell without a vet...
Also, I'm not doing this to get votes for my video. I'm very happy with how it turned out. It could flop and I would still be happy. I just want to be transparent with what is going on with my animals. It's not always a win at the end of the day.
I'm going to be lying low for a bit (not that I've really been on for a while). All my other animals including Grommet (jacksonii), the female willsii, and both pygmy chameleons are doing excellent and are very easy to care for. But I've been stressed out of my mind the past few months. Between...
Rough day. Took my male willsii to the vet, and I don't think he handled it well. I'll give a status update tomorrow. The only thing I could do after the visit was edit the video for the contest. The vet didn't do anything wrong, but I fear I waited too long. That, and I moved him into a larger...
