Two weeks after I got my Blanche she bailed on me as we were walking to her outside tree she hit the ground and my heart crushed. Luckily she was perfectly fine just a little frazzled and very eager to be picked up off the ground. Ever since this she and I are much more careful. I can tell she...
Also I see alot of pics of veileds being very dark, blanche has never even been close to as dark as any of the pics I've seen. She just turns a darker shade of green with darker spots when she isnt so happy, I'll try to get a pick but she rarely shows her pattern most of the time she is bright...
I can't wait! I'm still unsure if I am just over analyzing her weight and behavior, either way I'm ready. She did just start eating hornworms a week ago although she doesn't care for them much i think because they are to big, but they seemed to spike her appetite. Also I know it's contriversal...
No not really but her gut seemed to double in size over night. She had never been in contact with a male although I'd like to change this soon. Also I have caught her on the floor of her room twice in the past 7 days, and that's something she hasn't done since I first started freeranging. I...

Just try some feeder cups they work for most, when I had mine in her cage at first I would just put 6 or so different feeders in her cage in the morning for the most part they were all gobbled up by the time I got off work. Don't worry to much as long as you give it your all you will be rewarded.
You can just load the cup in the morning he may or may not eat them. My Blanche will not eat from a cup so I get up a little earlier and try to get atleast 5 feeders in her before I leave usually more but at least 5 and water her really good, I don't have a misting system. Then around lunch my...
As for the wife satisfaction not always guaranteed if used in anyway other than manufacturers instructions warranty is void. Not machine washable. ...
100%a joke I love my wife very much
And women in general are just magnificent creatures. Back to chameleons though. Sorry to derail
Good for you! I too have wanted a chameleon my whole life and just recently made the plunge. You will be more than happy with your desicion. I too have very little "spare" time. I have a full time job starting at 6 and usually get home around 4, and have a small mowing business with my dad that...
I seem to remember reading that as chams get older that they may shed parts of there body instead of all at once and it takes longer because there is more surface area. I may be wrong sorry if I am, maybe someone else will chime in. My veiled had never taken one 8hrs to complete her she'd but...
My veiled, Blanche was very active in her cage when I first got her, to the point I thought she would enjoy more room to climb. So I started letting her free range on assorted trees I bought a couple hours a day. After I started this she seemed unhappy when I would put her up. So I began...
Good to know he is feeling better. I know the thought of a vet bill is not good, especially when you have children and already are tight on money. But sometimes it's best to bite the bullet and go. Around here the vet well work with you with a payment plan. How about a pic of the little fellow.
Vet might be needed for this one bud. How old was this insect? Lethargic behavior is bad for anything, not moving when being touched also seems real bad. How is he now? How all is well. Light and love to you and yours.
My veiled only sits under her uvb bulbs about 1 1/2 hrs in morning and about the same at night however during the day she sits in real sun through the screened window next to her free range. Is your setup similarly close to a window you could open during the day for real sun?
