    Dude I’m so high....Up

Your setup looks much better. Between the extra height and being in a corner I bet KP is going to feel much more comfortable. That pothos is a pretty good size so I'm not sure if cramming another plant in there would be the best. It's hard to walk the line of having plenty of foliage for our...

    New enclosure lighting

Sounds like you already got pointed in the right direction light fixture-wise but I still had to chime in and say great work with the new setup! That's exactly what I was going to do with my 2 male panthers but everything got put on hold due to a remodel...

    Gut load porn

Looks tasty lol. I like to puree all that stuff in the food processor and then freeze it in to little gut load cubes using ice trays. My wife jokes that our feeders eat healthier than we do lol.

    Bedroom window enclosure

For the two months until you move him in to his big boy enclosure those lights should be fine. You'll definitely notice a big difference when you get the new fixture from Todd though, his stuff is top notch. I would definitely try to set the cage on something taller though to make him feel safer...

    Advice on roaches!!

Mainly DubiaRoaches.com and LLLReptile.com since they were recommended here and are sponsors. Lately I've been getting them and crickets from a local reptile store called the Serpentarium.

    Advice on roaches!!

Just curious, who told you Dubias are illegal in CA? I'm near Sacramento and have ordered plenty online and there are even a few shops near me that keep them in stock as feeders...

CBB OE Parson's are home! - Chamson

@Chamson congrats on the new babies. I'm working with Garrett to get one of his babies as soon as i finish getting their new cage set up. It's neat seeing pictures of the different siblings out there :) @Matt Vanilla Gorilla Quasi looks awesome dude! I'm hoping my baby Parson's turns out like...

    Hornworm feeding

I usually just put one on a branch maybe 6-9" away from my chams so I was sure they'd see it. Hornworms don't move a whole lot so if you just scatter them around the plants they might not catch your chams attention. If I put more than 2 worms on their branches 1 or more would wind up crawling...

Link me to good adult cages please?

Lots of options out there depending on what type of chameleon you have and how old/big they are. Personally I'd go with Dragon Strand, they're a sponsor on here and make some really top notch cages in lots of different sizes and configurations.

    Home made terrarium controller

Very cool Bonca! Any idea when you might be making some to be sold in the US?

The Parson chameleon. Care and needs simplified.

Thanks a ton @OldChamKeeper! I'm hoping to get one of these awesome giants soon and have been trying to find every bit of info I can which hasn't been easy. Having this all in one spot with your level of detail is great.(y)

Any advice AT ALL on best coating over painted plywood?!

I used Rustoleum Leak Seal to coat the wood and plywood on the inside and bottom of my big DIY cage. I used the spray can so it went on really easy and helped seal up and cracks or gaps in the wood. I've never had soil in the cage but it's held up great to heavy mistings and occasional standing...

    Enclosure Wall

I like using styrofoam sheets myself. I watched a bunch of the spray foam insulation DIY videos but it looked like more work and some didn't turn out that great so I decided to get a 4' x 8' sheet of styrofoam insulation from Lowes and made this instead: Here's a link to that DIY cage's build...

    Best planted Lighting

Another option is the new-ish Reptisun UVB/LED fixture. They use a T5 bulb for the UVB and then have several 6500k white LED's for the plants with a handful of red and blue LED's that you can turn on or off for different lighting effects. I have a few of those fixtures in different sizes for my...

    Sick Cham w/Parasites

Sorry about the delay, yesterday wound up being an all-day cleaning event. I got Poseidon’s cage completely torn down and threw out both of his plants and all of the wood branches and bleached the bottom of the cage frame, plastic bottom, and plant stands. Since the vet said he would be...

    Sick Cham w/Parasites

Quick update after Poseidon's trip to the vet today. The vet was concerned about his weight (down to 80g) and how weak his grip was. They checked the stool sample I brought with me and wound up finding two different types of parasites, flagellate/protozoan and pin worm, as well as budding yeast...

    Sick Cham w/Parasites

No worries bud. Like I said before I know everyone is just voicing their concern for my little guy and that really is appreciated. I wasn't trying to scold you or anything I just wanted to make a point that I really am trying to do everything I can for Poseidon since it kept looking like that...

    Sick Cham w/Parasites

Don’t worry I know all of those posts were coming from a good place/out of concern for Poseidon so I was trying not to take anything too personally. I just got fed up after seeing someone tell me he needs to go to the vet for the 8th time when I said in my very first post that I’m doing...

    Sick Cham w/Parasites

Unfortunately that's easier said than done since I didn't see how bad he was until after the holiday weekend started. There are a couple of vets that I might have been able to do an after hours visit with but none of them specialized in reptiles in reptiles and basically said they'd give it...

    Sick Cham w/Parasites

Thanks for looking for me Jann. I was able to find one a lot closer than the bay area though (3+ hours one way). Dr Marianne Brick who is on that same area by area vet list is around half an hour away and was recommended by a couple of members on here and had a ton of good reviews online. I...
