This is the bedding/substrate that we use for many of our tortoises being kept indoors. It is widely used by snake and (non-chameleon) lizard keepers also as bedding. Ours is fine, and does not have the big "filler" chunks that many cypress "mixes" have. These bags are 2 cubic feet. Weight is...
Nice video... The white headed tortoises at about 1:32 were mine (elongated tortoises).
There is apparently some kinda cricket virus going around that really hit the California cricket guys hard (East coast seems to have avoided it). That was the reason that there were no feeder vendors...
Ok, I'll let her know and maybe she'll let me go alone this time ;)
This weekend? Uuuh.... Do I really have to dig out that trailer again? I feel like I have nothing to sell this time of year.
Even my wife tried to back out on me for next weekend. Then she thought about it, and decided I'd probably end up with a girlfriend if she wasn't there, so she's coming once again.
We will be at the Turtle/Tortoise conference (it's mostly on the Thursday with a little more on Friday before the show) as well as the Phx show in November. It'll be a grand time!
Yeah, it seems like nobody is going.... It's kinda the off-season, I guess. Well, we will be there either way with a somewhat light selection (off season for us). Tortoises and snakes don't breed year round like you chameleon people are used to!
We have a new batch of beautiful cherryheads ready to go now. These are captive bred, hatched in early 2010. Photos are some of the actual animals available, picture taken on 3-20-10. Click the link below to go straight to the page. Available for $200 + actual shipping costs (between $28-45 or...
We are currently offering some pretty baby Redfoot Tortoises for sale. These beauties average 2.5" straight length (we also have some slightly larger, smaller), and are housed outdoors under our bright Las Vegas sunshine. This is an easy species to keep in captivity. They tolerate a wide range...
Chad hit this one on the nose - you can't say "buyer pays PayPal fees," according to their rules. You can and should work it into your price. If you're selling something for $100, you either sell it at $97 and deal with it, or you price it at $103 and look like a bad businessman and/or a nickel...
Checking back today, this scope's price has dropped. It's now $179 shipped. Just an FYI.

Outside of a dozen or so people (private breeders), how may pet shops do you think really have 100's of chameleons for sale at any given time? It would be a huge waste of time and money for a pet shop setting to have that many at once, and I don't know of any that have even close to 100.
High Five. Just what we need is Obama coming over to check the balls on my male veiled.
The difference is, large snakes can potentially kill humans. While being a stupid argument, at least it is an argument. More people fall into aquariums and die in a year than are killed by large snakes in...
Male for sure
Come on people, I haven't been doing chameleons for almost 2 years, and that's clearly a male. You all have been reading too many books and not enough hands on! My opinion is completely based on coloration. I've never been able to see this tail base idea that so many people talk...
