    Crap...

Misleading title. I was hoping to see fecal matter. Sorry to hear your dilema, I'd say find someone to trade with, or add two more to the family! Four chams isn't such a bad thing!

    Silkworm keeper?

Underbelly heat sources dry them and thier food out very quickly as well as dries eggs out very quickly. I take my eggs out of the fridge, line a 2x2x1 inch mini plastic Tupperware container with a peice of paper towel, and add the eggs, then breathe on them/the container until it's fogged up(3...

    A sad find...

Call the police. These days they would at least seize the animal, criminal charges are still a joke at this point but they are finally toughening up in that they at the very least follow up on calls and make the right move. You might wanna tell the police to pose as an interested buser so the...

    Furry caterpillar

You guys are insane! Hairy caterpillars have hair because it stings! Absolutely do not feed hairy caterpillars! I can't beleive what I'm hearing.... spiders are ok but NOT hairy caterpillers! Even nonhairy caterpillars often feed on poisonous plants. If you dont beleive me, pick the hairy...

    Silkworm keeper?

You don't want it to be too big, sometimes they start wandering and getting them back to thier food can be as frustrating as transferring to a new bin. Best to dump them in a small an area as possible then squeeze a strand of chow out of a zip lock bag completely around them.as the chow is eaten...

When buying some feeders from pet shops

Have you ever tried collecting cutworm eggs Nick? I'm sure you catch dozens of cutworm moths a night when they are at thier peak, if you keep the females (already mated once they're out flying about)and feed them sugar water, in a few days you'll usually get hundreds of egg's the size of poppy...

    All the foods hornworms eat

Grape leaves don't work, I've tried and they won't eat it. There are 100's of hornworm types and almost every plant has a hornworm that feeds on it, but many people assume any hornworm is a tomato hornworm, even though tomato hornworms are somewhat rare and they're actually thinking of tobacco...

Dubias Are Producing 2 Kinds Of Roaches??

Could be you got eggs from another species by accident, some people breed a few species some breed dozens, all it takes is one female or one eggsack to create a nightmare especially if you are using open containers and have a climbing/flying species on your hands. Are dubia males and female so...

    Raising Tomato Hornworms. Success!

Potatos will fatten them up quicker but they too need to be dried a little bit first as they too have too much water for the worms to eat em fresh, that and the fact that they rot very quickly is the reason they're not used as often.chow is well worth the money though, especially if you plan on...

    Silkworm moth care?

Keep it warm, they don't eat and I've only seen 2 instances in which they've attempted to drink water and I doubt they were very successful because they're mouths are so tiny. Ironicly, the two I watched doing what appeared to be drinking water lived 7 days and 9 days longer than the rest that...

    Raising Tomato Hornworms. Success!

Carrots are bad, especially if you don't let them dry a bit! I once used carrots and in two days they all were very Ill and we're dying, and they were extremely limp almost as if they were dehydrated, but I knew this was impossible because all of the moisture accumulated on thier bodies n the...

Poop runny and can see worm not digested

Well yeah that's why I'm thinking it could be, but it would definitely mean he IS sick, but at the same time, you'd think the only possible part to pass would be the skin, because they're mostly liquid or semi-liquid accept the skin, but at the same time, I'm thinking you'd be able to look at it...

How can i set up cage to feed the children for a week .

I was gonna say the same thing with the blue bottles, but it sounds like he's leaving tonight! Yikes. I'd offer a free baby to someone willing to take care of them all, don't know thier value but it seems like it's either that or risk losing them all. Try asking some very long term members in...

Poop runny and can see worm not digested

Sounds suspicious, it probobly is the hornworm, but I wouldve expected that from a mealy or superworm, not a soft bodied hornworm. Don't have much input to help you though, definitely take a pic for the vet or to post here In case someone more knowledgable offers to help. Good luck

    Raising Tomato Hornworms. Success!

Silkworms are too easy to fail! I will trade black silk eggs for some sw's or roaches if you wanted. I think a 10 gal is a bit too small, but you can let the moth free in a bedroom if there isn't too many places for them to get lost in. I keep min in a large box for first 36 hours+ first feeding...

Poop runny and can see worm not digested

I hate parasites so bad. I had an iguana that would pass 2 tapeworms segments every time he defacated. I'm sure he didn't know it they almost looked like fat maggots and we're about the same size just shorter, but it was absolutely horrifying. Can you Id the worm he didn't digest ir are you just...

Tail turning black, tip fell off

I'd at the very least dip it in peroxide for a few minutes, I beleive that you can use neosporin, or use colloidal silver gel which is a microbial barrier, but obviously do research before you do any of these. The pictures of his tail look a million times better than what I imagined when I read...

    Are waxworms too fatty?

You could also feed them honey mixed with oatmeal so they pupate and feed the moths. Some lizards love to eat fast flying insects, and the moths are very healthy.
