Thanks for the tip!! He does have a ton of branches and vines, I have different size natural branches from outside and fake Flukers vines but no bamboo. I had some in their when he was little but it always seemed kind of slippery. I still have a bunch, I will add it back in to see if it will help:)
Barnaby(male veiled) just turned 11 months old on the first and his grip is crazy strong! He is so friendly and loves to come out, it is impossible to go into his enclosure without him jumping on to my hand/arm! No complaints at all, I am super happy he is friendly but I have started to break...
I got an early Christmas present:D
These guys are so much fun, I am in love already! They look like little Tegu's and have quite the personalities:) They love to run around and like to be held, but their favorite thing by far is just basking! They also love to eat! We are still thinking of...
I buy all of my feeders from one of the sites I listed, or I already have breeding colonies going. @Katacara is amazing for her great silkworms and other feeders!! Pet stores I find never keep a healthy stock of feeders.
I also forgot to mention, like others said the bark should be removed in case of impaction but I would also keep an eye on the moss vine. I have known a few cases that the moss accidentally got ingested when striking for bugs, it is not glued on there very well. Moss can cause impaction as well...
Congratulations on your new guy, he is adorable!
I would remove the foil, the screen top with the vents on the bottom helps the air circulate like a chimney affect. I would lower the temp like @kinyonga said they like it cooler, he looks like he is gaping in one of the pictures so it is...
Welcome to the wonderful world of chameleons, she is beautiful:)
The worms you got at the pet store must of been mealworms if they told you to put them in the fridge. Mealworms can live in the refrigerator for a while. They are really not a great feeder at all and you should really look into...
I totally understand!! Before them I just used a plain old deli cup, not the prettiest but it worked fine. There are a lot of cool ideas on here, just search feeder cup ideas in the tool bar, good luck:)
My guys have been going to find there comfy spots and getting ready for bed about an hour before lights out since the time/weather change. Changing the UVB is great as that can make a big difference in overall eating and sluggish behavior. Hopefully he will go back to his normal self with some...
Thanks so much for responding!!
They do not look like springtails, I am not sure about mites? Will mites cause a problem? The snails are definitely bigger than a dime.
My banana roaches have been doing great, slowly they are growing and fingers crossed are breeding. My Isopods are also in there. All of a sudden there has been a burst in these tiny little white bugs, I am 99% sure they are fine in there but thought I would ask to be 100% sure;) There is an...
In my opinion that seems like way to many bulbs/wattage for heat. Do you have an accurate way to measure how hot that side is getting? It is just as bad for them to be to hot as it is if they are to cold. Is he sleeping during the whole day or close to when his lights go off?
