That is good you stopped holding her! Not holding her was not going to fix the problem she is already having, but it now won’t be making it worse. Just double checking you still have her lights on(basking/uvb) even with the enclosure covered? Unfortunately big chain pet stores are in it for the...

New Female Veiled - 1st-time owner with questions regarding overall setup and diet

I personally removed them all as I did not want to take the chance with mold. I personally have never had a female but I have read the less you disrupt them the better, even my male does not like me going in his cage and rearranging things. I just replaced them with more outside branches and...

New Female Veiled - 1st-time owner with questions regarding overall setup and diet

Just as a heads up, I had the same hammock attached on the sides of my Exo Terra so my veiled could climb from the bottom to the top of the enclosure with ease and the hammock turned into a moldy mess. Just wanted to give you a warning to keep an eye on it!

Ok, bummer I would definitely not handle her at all, if the laying bin is in the enclosure she will know what to do. We just got a new little one and when I am acclimating a new chameleon I don't even hang near their cage, they like their privacy to eat and drink. I don't even begin to try to...

    Hornworm feeding

She has awesome silkworms, all of my guys are enjoying them:) When feeding silkworms and hornworms I place them all around the enclosure, they always find them, that is if I can get the silks in the enclosure without them being swiped from my hand(y)

Another suggestion I have is to stop handling her, you have not had her very long and acclimating is very stressful to begin with and handling her on top of that is super stressful. I would just mist and place food in her enclosure, keep to very minimal interaction. Did you get her to the...

Help! I don't know what else I can do!

Boy this makes me so mad still, I know that they are live bearer’s too which makes it even worse, nothing like having a complete brain fart and posting for everyone to see, it still makes me feel like such a ding-dong!

Oh man that stinks, those little buggers are fast!! It would be the complete opposite here my husband HATES bugs, good luck hopefully you find them all!!

    New with questions :)

I can't 100% tell in the pictures provided but I see no spurs which means it is a girl, and she is going to need a lay box. They will lay eggs without a male present and if they have no place to lay it turns into egg bounding which is very serious. Here is a link @jannb wrote, she is amazing-...

Dumb question but do chameleons ever like to be pet or handled? Want to build trust...

I find that my panther and veiled do not like to be rubbed or patted at all. I honestly let them do their own thing, I personally feel personality plays a huge role on how well they will tolerate handling. My veiled will walk right on to my hand and use me like a jungle gym most days but other...
