I feed hissers and P. nivea (Green banana roaches). My cham goes nuts for P. nivea! People complain about banana roaches being able to fly, but they only do it if you handle them carelessly. I open the lid of the sterilite container and not once has one flown out. They just stay in the egg...
Mugi's starting to look like he's straight out of AVATAR. What doesn't look awesome in Pandorean warpaint? He's a Blue-Barred Ambanja for sure, but I think his reds will show up more when he's older.
Mugetsu..keeping it real.
I bought painted lady butterflies from www.educationalscience.com (the reptile cups) thinking that my Panther would love them. He goes nuts for silkworm moths, so why not?
Well, he just..didn't. I was very surprised. I let one loose in the cage and he didn't pay it any mind. It was only when...
Olimpia, I must give credit when it is due: you have some seriously good names for your chameleons. But you can't take Ciel for your next Nosy Be, it's a boys name and I called it :D
In exchange, how about I recommend Nyx and Thanatos?
My male Ambanja Panther's name is Mugetsu (Mugi for short). It means "moonless/moonless sky" in Japanese. Chameleons are diurnal, therefore the moon will never grace Mugetsu's sky.
I would like, future conditions permitting, for my next chameleon to be a male Nosy Be Panther. I would name...
i get mine from CoastalSilkworms.com. You should only feed waxworms as a treat as they are high in fat and little else..not the healthiest food to give your chameleon.
Ah, it's hard to see but the moss is away from the edge of the container. I use roaches, silkworms, and hornworms and they stay in the container as I have roach barrier all along the lip on the jug. You bring up an excellent point and I will go take a closer at the moss on the jug to make sure...
Mugi's adult cage: Mistking set up, Tillandsias, Pothos, Flaming Sword bromiliad, Schefflera tree, Phalanopsis orchids. Orchids are mounted on coir plaques with sphagnum moss and attached to the sides of the enclosure. His feeding container is the large object on the right. It's a milk jug...
Greg's roaches are absolutely fantastic. His shipping method is perfect and I have never received a dead roach from him. He is very nice and informative, and has some of the best prices I have ever seen. Just e-mail him and he'll help you out.

Hello everyone,
I've been on the forums for some time now, using it as a fantastic knowledge source. However this is my first time posting and I thought I might as well go all out with it and introduce my little guy. His name is Mugetsu (Mugi for short) and he is an Ambanja Panther...
