Practice, practice, practice. No substitution. I've seen women who can shoot a pistols so fast and accurately that its like an old western movie.
I have used an arcadia 12% bulb on a 24" high glass exoterra baby habitat for 18 months with great results, fantastic. It was used for Montane species. Of course they are planted and there are plenty of areas to escape the UVB.

Where are you getting your information? You think a basking area should be 50 micro watts? In natural light the basking uvb numbers are closer to 250-300 in direct basking light. How does this eliminate calculations on lumens? I don't see anything in your answer that even remotely discusses...
If you leave them in their pots, just hand watering 2- 3 times per week is plenty.They will need to dry out a little between waterings. If you hang them on bark , Baby tears will require considerably high humidity and frequent misting.
I just left mine in the pot.
