I needed an idea to use up my left over bright green yarn. :D I'm not sure who it was, but thanks for the + ratings.

I don't actually have a pattern. I just made it up. If I ever write it out you will be the first to know. :) Thanks for the compliments.

I'm crocheting a stuffed animal version of my veiled. The legs aren't quite done but I got impatient about showing it. :D

    Do silkworms stink?

Mine don't stink. The mulberry chow reminds me of the smell of green tea. :)

    just laid eggs

Setup This is an older pic from the day that she moved into the cage. There's more plant coverage now. There's a divider in the middle so only the right half of the cage is hers. Her basking area is in the mid 80s. The temp is in the high 60s at night. The canopy on top has 6 regular...

    just laid eggs

Wow, that was a quick reply. Thanks! The eggs are unfertilized so I wasn't concerned with keeping them healthy. I rinsed a couple off with water so I could see them better.

    just laid eggs

My veiled just laid (unfertilized) eggs for the first time. The eggs were pretty white after they were cleaned up so I think she's getting enough calcium. I have 2 questions: (1) It is normal for her to still be showing gravid colors after the eggs have been laid? (2) 63 is a lot...

    Eating soil

My 6 month old veiled eats soil, too. I recommend sifting chunks out of the soil with a screen or getting some kind of chunk-free soil. I also try to keep it plenty moist in case she's doing this for hydration.

    New Cage Plans! Please Comment.

Diezel, she is 4.5 months old and about 7 inches long. When I got her a month ago she was about 4 inches long. I can't believe how fast she is growing. If its too big for her when I build it I could partition off part of it until she is ready for it. Is 48x48x18 too large for an adult...

White spot on nose, black lines on sides

other questions Thanks to everyone for the help and suggestions. I'm glad that it was nothing to worry about. :D I have a couple other questions about her: 1) When should I put sand in the bottom of her cage for egg laying? 2) When should I move her to her adult-sized cage? 3) Is it ok...

White spot on nose, black lines on sides

I have a 3.5 month old female veiled chameleon named Kermit. I've had her for about 3 weeks. Just today I noticed a white spot on her nose and some black lines on her sides that weren't there before. I don't know if I should be worried about them or not. Is she healthy? What should I do...
