Hahhah yeah I wish! he's my official pen holder lol
The waterfall works out quite well being suspended, makes more sense that way since most lizards are up at the top anyway!
I remember seeing your cage on on of the threads for the planters hahah
I would LOVE to put the LG ficus in there but since I have the dragon ledges I have some nice basking spots which limits the height of the plants. But he enjoys the grapevine. The drac fills it in nicely.
I can see your...
He seems to REALLY like the bird tree. Maybe getting one of those would help. He can climb and chill while being in a safe spot, we always feed him by hand on the tree that way we know what hes eating so we aren't wasting food (and for his sake) when we bring him back to the cage he does crawl...
Thanks! He is certainly a big boy! We have not come up with a name (personally my BF does not want to name him) I call him Chamy for now hhah
So for the cantina is okay, he seems to like hanging out by it. Water flow is good but its going to be a pain to clean. We have a hole drilled through...
I will definitely post pictures when its done! Probably not going to be for another month cause of his work and cause hes lazy lol
he used to be a professional Cabinet maker so he wants to make it all nice.
Its going to have 3 edges around the sides to hold it in and two doors on front with...
I am making a custom plexiglass pan for the bottom so I'll see how it goes after we get the mist king set up. So far the repti carpet is doing really good, it soaks up just enough water and dries in between. I think paper towels would get all messy and sopping wet, no?
So far the cantina is doing well, never seen him drink from it but hes always sitting near it, plus it helps with the humidity in the cage. So he's probably using it. my 3 1/2 ft ficus just takes up too much space in the cage so now we have it as a house plant haha tons of new leaves its doing...
He gets a variety of insects mainly roaches, but I just don't want to see these guys go to waste ya know? I do not have any other reps to feed, I can see how I could easily get over run with them. I would have no place to sell them too either unless I got in contact with my old pet store I used...
So when I got two containers of MD hornworms for my cham they have now doubled in size! Some reaching 4"
Still some smaller ones to feed (feeding a full grown male veiled)
Can he actually eat those big ones if I let him? Or would those be too much.....
Thinking of setting up a breeding...
I just got my cham, a 2 1/2 yr old proven breeder male. I take him out every morning and put him on a bird playstand (the wood is big and gnarly so my parrots are afraid of it) so now its a cham stand hahah I feed him either from my hand or on the stand (for slower moving bugs)
This guy eats...
I'm SOOOO Excited! I finally got the cham I was looking for! Went to the reptile show and saw lots of baby chams (most which I was unfamiliar with) they did have some panthers, nosey be females, and a jackson but I found the Jewel!
Perched on the display rack of supplies was a big and handsome...
Thank for the info! Good to know.
I'm planning on getting there when they open so I'm not pressed for time, will check every thing out thoroughly. It will be hard not to bring home another type of rep! I have owned many for years but took a break after my female leopard g. passed. I had some...
With only 7 exciting days left till the rep expo in Manchester NH, it leaves me thinking a very important question that may sound silly!!
To those who have been, do most vendors accept credit cards? I'm guessing they must judging how much some of these fancy herps cost (who's carrying around 2g...
I will be visiting Maui as well this July for 2 weeks and my inner herp nerd hopes that I get to spot and photograph some wild chams! I just recently learned that they were invasive to Hawaii. Which to me is thrilling because I get to see an animal rarely seen in the wild close to home! (Just...
No problem :) good luck on your plant hunting! I was very surprised when I went to Lowes and they had all the plants on the list for cheap to! $22 for ficus and $12 for the dracaena.
I found my plants (all 3 same ones) for our veiled at Lowes. Nice ficus tree, about 3 1/2 ft and a nice dracaena. Pothos you can find there, home depot, and sometimes grocery stores! They are heavily coated with pestcides so be sure to give them a good cleaning.
Love the green plastic! I am in the middle of setting up my vields cage before we get him (24,24,48) and I was going to use corrugated plastic and some plexiglass that I have leftover from some projects to put on two sides like you did. But I LOVE the green plastic! Is it thick? I've never seen...
