they are phenox or reptiworms.. seems odd to starve them like they suggest.. why not gut load.. they are such good converters of stuff into protein.. keep them right, they will and can say use up any and all old kitchen scraps, or older veggies.. they are kind of hot with poultry...
collect the fly if you can set up a small compost bin with a place for the flys to hatch.. and now you are breeding the buggers:) Also if pupation is a issue, lower temps, less light keeps them from pupation, and even when you get a fly.. they really are dependent on light times..

feeding wild has risk.. one parasites.. but one can get parasites feeding commercial too..
A type of parasite that is NOT normally found in Chams... more of a worry.. the Zoonotic potential and no immune response to it..

It seems they seem to have a timer issue... for sure..
As I have not tried to call or return them or use their warrantee. Why I lost my required "proof" of purchase per their stated warrantee.. could I have pushed the issue with the store?? yeh.. but hey I know.. returns are NOT reimbursed...

Ok been struggling with a crappy mister system.. Dry air due to the winter,, some other husbandry concerns.. add a Cham who does not drink well from a standard dripper, and HATES showers.. with my mister crapping out again.. and stuck with a less than ideal misting shed.. he needed a lot of...
oh side note aquazamp? also has a superb system.. the Rain dome idea is also "really" worth it.. for some chams.. (more in a different post) a little more, but excellent reviews.. but I mentioned Mist king only as the entry level system is in the same price range if not Cheaper than the...
I give them a ring, but darn it.. sure as heck cannot find the receipt!!.. at the time I purchased that first unit.. all the reviews where OH awesome product.. I had no reason to think that it would fail... and sure enough.. started to.. then did some research on it,, lots of similar...
I am curious, as I have dogs, yes I breed them... as a breeder I study population genetics, the development of breeds in dogs, and the limits of closed population breeding programs.. and Genetic health issues etc..

Good thread.. and shows where the hobby has gotten where this is a question :)
What is considered senior? used to see a lot of 3-5 or up to 5 now 5+ years So perhaps now that chams are living longer.. more captive bred, so one knows that "adults" age.. not just full grown.. is it...

I was not thinking good for people to eat.. FYI.. at least not once in the chams cage.. I love my reptiles but not worth risking salmonella my cham likes to use his plants for a toilet :) that may be a plus in a modified hydro style pot.. however,,, just need to come up with a simple...
