    27 days since mating

My poor female died today. She'd not eaten for a week before laying her eggs, and hadn't eaten since. Is this normal? I feel so terrible.. my poor little girl :( I was going to keep one of her babies, but I don't think I'm going to now. This has put me off keeping chameleons, even though I love...

Is my cham gravid? What do i do?

She deffinately looks gravid to me.. My cham has just laid her first batch of eggs, so I'm not an expert, but she looks that same. My female only ever went that dark colour when she caught sight of my male while she was out, while gravid.. otherwise she just stayed green with the brown patches.

Thanks a lot! Has reassured me a little bit, luckily I have nothing to do for the next week so I can stay at home with her. how often would you suggest checking onher, since she's covered up?, I am still misting her a lot, but I have been spraying through the top of her cage so I'm out of her...

    More Dogs

Those are the MOST adorable puppies I've seen for ages! I used to breed staffordshire bull terriers, have 3 now. Don't breed them anymore, since my youngest girl died from a womb disorder when she was a pup :(

    27 days since mating

Hi everyone, I need a little reassurance or advice. It has been 27 days since I mated my veiled's for the first time. My female is incredibly large now, and you can see perfect outlines of the eggs in her stomach. She started to lose her appetite over a week ago, and stopped eating completely...

    Sucessful?

Thanks a lot both of you! any advice I can get will be a huge help. I'm doing a lot of research myself also, but would rather find out from people who have actually bred these chams sucessfully how they find it easiest!! I know a local breeder, who I bought both my chams from but I haven't been...

    Sucessful?

Hey everyone, I'm quite excited! I have a male and female veiled pair, and put them together yesterday to see if they would mate (first time for both!!) They did, immediately! my female seemed comfortable with the male so I left them to it. Now my female has small yellow-brown patches on her...

No colour change in female vieled, digging anyway! help.

Thanks for all of your advice! She was digging again today, though only briefly. She still doesn't seem to be stressed, which is a good sign! She doesn't seem to have eaten anything more since yesterday morning though, but is still drinking. There are a few crickets lurking in her cage for if...

No colour change in female vieled, digging anyway! help.

I didn't, because obviously she didn't show any signs of been gravid. I have now put in a plantpot with some sand kind of stuff the reptile shop I bought her from suggested! is that okay? as there is no colour change does that mean even if she is laying, they are not fertile? I guess there would...

No colour change in female vieled, digging anyway! help.

I do have a male, but they're not in the same cage. I kept them together for a few days when I first got him but they just seemed to ingnore eachother and have been seperated since (3-4 weeks). She has no colour change at all, just the same markings she's always had.

No colour change in female vieled, digging anyway! help.

I've had my female vieled chameleon for 4 months and she was between 2-3 months old when I bought her. She has no visable colour change to indicate her been gravid but she has quite a fat belly and has started to dig in her plant. Could she be ready to lay eggs anyway, even without appearing to...
