Man that's an 11 hour drive total lol and I'm sure well over $100 in gas. Would you be willing to ship him to me? Are you sure there is no way you could meet me even some of the way?
Thanks Laurie I was wondering about that. I just gave him his meds and fed him and an extra dose of pedalyte. I'm going to give him some more fluids before I leave for work and the again when I get home. I think it's getting the idea of the syringe because now all I have to do is rub it on his...
Ok thanks! The Baytril is for 10 days and the panacur is 1 dose a week for 3 weeks. And no open mouth breathing or head up in the air and unless he is swallowing. No pops or cracks or mucus either.
I live a bit closer then the others but I just mapped to the center of Indiana and it's about 5 hours and 44 mins away. Would you be willing to meet me half way? I'm in Charleston, WV 25303.
So I took him to the vet today and honestly it was insane. The vet knew NOTHING about chameleons and I mean nothing lol. I told him everything that was going on and what I had read about it and what I needed. He wouldn't do a fecal on him because he said it's hard to see parasites in a small...
It looks like a girl to me. I have a male and he has a tarsal spur on the back of his back feet like a veiled. I have no idea on age though, how long is she? Mine is 9 inches from the tip of his nose to the tip of his tail but I still have no idea of his age.
I did save the paper towel and put it in a baggie in the fridge just in case. He still hasn't pooped so I'm really hoping he does before we go lol. Sorry for the odd question.
My poor little senegal is going to the vet tomorrow for a fecal and to check out his tongue. He pooped today in my hand and before I thought I grabbed a paper towel and wiped it off. Is there anyway I can get him to poop again in the next 20 hours lol? I have fed him his baby food/medicine...
I just wanted to let everyone know he is going to the vet at 11am tomorrow. Is there anything specific I should ask for? He is getting a fecal as well.
He is a totally different Cham today. As soon as I misted he started drinking off the cage and leaves so I turned his dripper on and he drank from it too. His eyes are open and he's roaming all over the cage. I really think I made the right choice in trying to save him. I'm going to try and see...
Thank you everyone!
It's a linear bulb.
And yes I read the freak accident post as well, several times actually lol. That's where I learned what I needed to do.
Here are some pics of him and my other guys. He's still hanging in there. I just finished feeding and hydrating him...
Thank you everyone for the words of encouragement! I really have no idea what he could have caught it on. His cage has 3 live plants, I dowel rod staked into one of the plants for it to vine up on and one fake vine that is a Fluker's Bend-A-Branch. There was also a small white Tupperware type...
I've really debated on posting this but my hope is maybe one day it will help someone else.
My WC Senegal juvenile that hasn't been acclimating very well had a major accident night before last. He has only eaten 6 crickets in the 2 weeks he has been with me and even with misting 4 times a...
