    Has anyone raised silkworms?

Nice I am ready! Although I realized I’m going to be out of town for the holidays so I’m going to start with this small sample of eggs and then in the new year I’ll try more haha

    Has anyone raised silkworms?

Cool thank you! I’m starting with about 30 eggs just to test. I bought 300 and put the rest in the fridge for now.

    Has anyone raised silkworms?

I am all for the info! I also talk a lot, esp about subjects I am passionate about haha. Don’t get me started on cats and books! I’ll definitely read the article. I’m in San Diego so we have pretty moderate temps year round. Right now I have the eggs in my 75 degree garage. Think that’s warm...

I can’t get over how cute the moths are!! I almost feel bad feeding them to my Cham haha

    Has anyone raised silkworms?

As we all know, silkies are the best but can be pricey and hard to find. Has anyone here raised them? I just bought some eggs and I’m going to try! Open to all advice and feedback. I’m actually pretty excited for this little experiment haha I don’t love bugs but the silkies don’t bother me at...

    White spot?

Yeah ok this is the most similar picture I have seen as well! I think I saw another picture of Spike where I thought the same thing. I will continue to wait it out lol. As you can probably tell, this is my first Cham! And first reptile at that. So want to make sure everything is right. How old...

    White spot?

Acting totally fine! Eating like normal, climbing all around his new enclosure, haven’t seen any poops in a while but the last ones were good, eyes open and alert

    White spot?

Yeah white with a darker (black?) border

    White spot?

Guys, it’s happening again on the other side 😭 As you can see in the pic, he’s far down (9”) and it’s only 81 degrees. Bulb is the 100W daylight blue from zoomed (because the 20W zoomed nor 40W flukers were getting warm enough). He’s also going through a shed so maybe it’s related to that? I...

    White spot?

Update here, we finished the new enclosure! I think this one will be much better for his health. The highest branches are 9 or so inches from the light. In the meantime, I bought a Manuka honey paste to treat his thermal burn while I wait until I can get silvadene. Going to start treating that...

    White spot?

Yup, always elevated like that and yeah I can hold my hand there and it’s a comfortable temperature (if anything maybe a tiny bit too cold).

    White spot?

Thank you all so much! @Beman its only about 1-2” between the screen and the top branch so he can climb on the screen but he doesn’t. And no, no other bulbs have been used. @Steve A thats actually a really good point about the boxes. The fans aren’t blocking the light because they are behind...

    White spot?

Dang, ok! UVB is reptisun T5 5.0. Heat bulb is zoomed 40w daytime bulb (picture attached). As you can see in the photos, both of them are about 6-8” from the baking branch. I actually just lowered it a tad yesterday because I noticed he was darker all day and the temperature in the cage ranges...

    White spot?

Maybe about 1.5 weeks? We only got him about 3 weeks ago and he didn’t have that discoloration at the pet store. Photo attached of when we got him for reference (although that’s the other side)

    White spot?

Jumping in here as @letterkenny’s wife and Rainy’s mom haha. @MissSkittles thank you so much for responding. I’ve been monitoring it and I think it is related to his color changes because he actually has a similar spot on the other side and I see the one originally posted change size. That being...
