    filarial worm removal

They were pretty nasty, hard to find aswell. Just when I thought I was getting somewhere the worm would pull to the side and escape. They were suprisingly very mobile under their skin.

    filarial worm removal

male removal The females healed up just fine so it was Renegades turn. He had them all over the one side of him. Thankfully I only had to make one incision and was able to manipulate the worms close to the hole so I could carefully extract them. Their skin is very pliable so I could actually...

Bot flys are pretty nasty as well. The maggot or larvae lives directly under the skin. Most cases you can feel them eating you. There was a lady on discovery channel that had one eating her. They video taped the little bugger eating a hole under her skin. It still gives me the heeby jeebys when...

    filarial worm removal

From what I see they are all out. Two females and one male had them. Both females had theirs removed today. I will wait and see how they are over the next couple days before I remove the males. They get worms from some insects, flys carry some worm eggs. Licking branches where another animal...

    Panther Chameleon, Natural Sunlight

I keep most of our colony, except babies, outside from May until October. Their colors become brighter, they are more active and being that they are getting natual sunlight there is no where near as much supplementing to be done. It gives their kidneys a break for a few months.

    filarial worm removal

I had some WC chams with some filarial worms that I have been plumping up before I removed them. When they first got here they were very small and you could see them. Today they were pretty big and you could really see them under the skin. This is not as bad as it looks. I used a pair of...
