She poses, even!
Okay.....out of 47 eggs to start with, 1 which was a bad egg leaving 46 good ones....we lost 3 to mold bringing us to a total of 43 eggs in the incubator. We check tonight expecting to see nothing but eggs in vermiculite and Ta Daaaaaahhh!!!.....our first hatchling Veiled Chameloen!! :eek...

OMG!!! We checked our 43 remaining Veiled Chameleon eggs for the umpteenth time not expecting to see anything but eggs in vermiculite and Lo & Behold.................OUR FIRST HATCHLING!!!!!! Pretty sure I see spurs on the hind feet, but will wait until he is rid of clinging materials to...
We use a lid from a dog food container that we beveled out a small "dip" for the eggs to sit on and then a very small hole to shine the light source through. We currently use a flashlight and it works great! We use it for our leopard Gecko eggs mostly, but since we have 46 Veiled Chameleon eggs...
Hi,
Thought I'd throw this bit in also..... we bought these handy sprayers from Walmart in the garden section. They are pump sprays that keep preasure in the bottle to offer a continual spray and adjustment of the nozzle wil give you the ability to spray a fine mist or a steady stream. We...

To say the least Jordan! Our humidity in Corpus Christi seems to keep our Veiled couple pretty happy. I had noticed our babies are spoiled.....they hate the showers unless the water is warm, otherwise they attempt to run and then kill whoever is hosing them down....LOL

Our female took all of 3 days to lay her very first clutch, but when it came time to lay her second one....whoooo boy!! she paced for almost 2 weeks and dug for a week longer....finally laid one egg near the entrance of the tunnel and finally 3 days after that, laid the rest of the clutch (49...
Toby looks to be in excellent condition! He has a little fatty deposit around the jaw area and a bulgy casque, but other than that, he looks awesome!!! My male tends to put on a bit of weight every now & then too, but with a little regulation of the diet, he does just fine. My female is the one...
Gotta agree with those stating that Veileds are aggressive. Both of ours are but I wouldn't trade them for the world. It is thier nature mostly, we use sticks to get them out of the cages and then let them travel our outdoor plants under protection.....too many cats in the 'hood, if ya know what...
