I wouldnt force it, unless they are sick and cannot eat on their own.. Besides if they are gonna be cranky then they get no food.
Naturally they will eat on their own, just make sure you have food available at all times.

yea, i have had him exactly 20 days now. glad hes warming up.. Normally he is really fiesty, does gape and hiss sometimes. Ive noticed it though that he is getting more relaxed when i handle him.
Been trying to earn his trust since i bought him.. Today he finally took the 2 worms i offered..
