Thanks for the response. I will lower my basking branch to the right height, and at night my temps do range from 65-68. As for humidity I currently don't have anything to measure them but I am sure that they are in the right zone.
I have made most of the changes that I have been advised to make from older threads, and now I am just making a care review.

Your Chameleon - Male Veiled Chameleon, been in my care for almost 3 months
Handling - Almost never, If I do handle him it is when I am making...
I plan on getting a croton plant soon so that should help cover the cage some more. Yes, the bucket is for feeding and I can try to get something a bit smaller. The branches actually work well, he has never fallen off any of them, the picture makes the branches look bigger than they actually are.
So I have made some changes since my last update, I have added more branches, got live plants, got a t5 uvb, and got multi vitamin.

Your Chameleon - Male Veiled Chameleon named Skipper. Have had him for 2 1/2 months

I have a juvenile veiled chameleon and he has been having some salt build up around his nose. I have heard that this is not something to worry about but I just wanted to make sure. I live in New England where it snows a lot and I have heard that it has to do with the snow or something... Anyways...
So... I'm ordering 250 bsfl for my chameleon and I am making my own keeper for them, and I am wondering what is the best substrate for them? I'm thinking of using some topsoil with coco husk, would that work well? Also we have a worm farm that produces organic dirt/compost, would that work well...
I thinking of trying bsfl. Here are some question: Do you have to gutload them? How often do they die? How many should you feed a juvenile chameleon? How long until the pupate? Are bsfl something to feed in moderation or as a staple feeder?
