    Newborn Death

When I got my first Jackson baby, I read that they can suddenly just drop dead seemingly for no reason. Once they get to about four months (the usual age to sell them on) they tend to be more robust. I had my little man from 7 weeks old and he was so tiny! I worried constantly about him until he...

Jackson hanging upside down in his habitat

I've had a couple of Jackson's and both used to hang from their ceilings quite often. The infections was probably in his temporal gland, right in the corner of the mouth. They can be prone to infection if they get bits of food stuck in this gland. It also excretes a yellow waxy substance...

    Ugh I am in love

Jumpers are awesome! I raised a clutch last year after my wc female laid a fertile sac. It was a ton of work but do rewarding and really helped my fear of spiders. I know have 2 adults and 8 tarantulas of varying sizes. I find them fascinating!

    Tigers and a lion!

Some of the tigers. You can see in the second photo where her canines had been cut whilst at the circus. Their new enclosures at the zoo must be like heaven for them, having not seen grass for a long long time. They are settling in nicely.

    Tigers and a lion!

Recently visited our local zoo. They do a lot of work rescuing tigers and we saw the 5 new tigers that had recently been rescued from a circus in Spain. They were kept in awful, cramped conditions and punished if they did anything wrong. It's so sad that people treat these magnificent...

    Spider enclosure build thread!

This week I have made a couple of new enclosures for my Martinique Pink Toe tarantulas, Stompy & Strider. I bought 2 5.8l Braplast tubs and set about creating their new homes. I had planned to cut sections from the lid and one side to create ventilation panels by hot gluing thick plastic...

    Oh Pixie, you silly girl!

Hilarious isn't it?! Love this girl so much - you are right Jann, they girls are special, but I already knew that from my Veiled girls Lily & Amy! I was never struck with female Panthers, I always thought they looked lacking in something. That was until I met Pixie. Her colours are far from...

help me sex my one week old panther Chameleon.

Can't see the pic! Did someone sell you the chameleon at a week old? That's disgraceful, a week is far too young to be sold. 12 weeks is usually the norm for Veileds and Panthers just to make sure they are eating, pooping and shedding properly. The easiest way to upload a photo is directly to...
