Well, she laid 2 more this morning. They fell out of her foliage when I was misting do they could've been there since she laid the others. She's eating like a champ and drinking so I'm not concerned about her at this stage.
Thanks Jann! Yes, she's bounced straight back to normal this time and no vet trips were needed, although I would've taken her had I thought she needed it. It's been just over 2 months since her first clutch. I have no idea how often female Panthers lay so not sure if that is normal for them...
It would appear that it was a clutch of just 8 this time. She's back to her normal self today. Now she needs to learn to lay them in the tub! Still, I'm glad she has laid them without any trouble, and that's the most important thing.
I've never found any here in the UK in 10 years of chameleon ownership. I believe they are illegal as they are invasive. I also remember reading that they eat tomato plant leaves which are not good for chameleons. Silkworms are a good alternative and I know you can get those in the UK.
So, here we are, two months later and I thought Pixie was receptive again. She dug a hole in her lay tub on Monday and this morning she dropped 8 eggs from the branches. I've kept her cooler and haven't overfed her. I didn't realise she would lay again so soon. The shortest gap my Veiled girls...
Aww, Pixie got bronze, that's amazing! Well done Bob, that picture is awesome! I'm so pleased Pixie has a medal! Thank you everyone who voted for her. Congrats everyone!
Yes, it's true. This time last year I had recently fallen in love with the Regal jumping spider females. I had my first girl, Ethel Webster but I was so scared of her, but at the same time I loved her! I went on to get two juveniles, Buster & Bella. Anyway, cutting it short Ethel laid an egg sac...
She's tiny!
She is in a tiny cardboard tube, lol! It's not full sized. That would be awesome if they got that big! She has another 4 eyes that you can't see!
My new little girly spider arrived this morning. She is a Regal Jumping spider (Phidippus Regius) the same as my beautiful Bella, who died at the start of the year. I'm so happy to have another sweet jumper girl, she's adorable! Everyone meet Poppy!
So, 10 days after the firstfegg she has finally eaten, and is back to her normal self. She was digging again yesterday and has eaten a waxworm and 2 supers this morning.
