    Nosy boraha or Masoala?

It's been particularly difficult with him having a lot of grey anyway, he sometimes gets really dark, but then will lighten up again later in the day. I just go by the laws of, if he's eating, drinking, thermoregulating, pooping with white urate, climbing and looks strong. I'll not worry. Well...

    Nosy boraha or Masoala?

He is a mystery indeed! I get worried sometimes because he gets really dark as well. His colour spectrum is incredible. He goes from being really dark greys and dark reds/blacks to lighting up with light greys, blues and yellows to pure white and bright reds. All in one day! I used to get...

    Picky eater - alternative feeders?

My panther will not touch crickets. He hates them. I feed locusts, calci worms and dubia (it sucks you can't get them). Locusts are a good staple. They seem to gut load well, more so in the day than night so try to load them up as much as possible during the day. They're easy to keep and don't...

    Nosy boraha or Masoala?

So my cham, whom I named Mr J (after The Joker) thinking he'd be red and white due to being sold as a Masoala to me. However, I think he's starting to look more Nosy Boraha. What do you guys think? He definitely throws more greys like the Boraha, certainly is getting more blues as well. I...

About to shed or skin issue?

First of all, let me say, she's absolutely beautiful. But I would recommend filling out the questionnaire which Brody posted above. Just so we can all get a better idea of her conditions. I mean, I am really new to chams, mine is my first and he's male. So as for a female, I really don't know...

About to shed or skin issue?

In fairness, the camera and lighting haven't helped. He was dark, can't deny but not as dark as the photos make him look. It's the weird looking patches that I am wondering about.

About to shed or skin issue?

He hasn't been this dark in a long ass time. He does go dark when he's basking but not like this. I am a little worried. Unless he is about to shed. He got real stressed last time too.

About to shed or skin issue?

Hey guys, See attached photos, is he about to shed or is it anything else that could be wrong with his skin? It seems to come and go? Which is what's confusing me. He is due a shed. He's still eating like a champ and is very active, although he's spent more time that usual toward the bottom...

    Rate my poop..

Starting this for a bit of fun, mainly because I want to check that my chameleon is healthy, secondly, why the heck not? Post photos of your chams poop and rate each other :ROFLMAO: because reasons. My Masoala Panther, Mr J, likes to poop outside of his vivarium, snob. Here is his most recent...

    Holiday care... North UK.

Hiya, Does anyone know if there are any people in the North of the UK who take care of chams if you decide to go away? I don't have any plans to go on holiday for the first year of his life but it would be good to know for the future.

Got my first veiled chameleon today and...

I am with Brody on this. I knew everything my cham came with when I got him, what supplements I'd been supplied with, what I was gut loading etc, etc. It's a basic form, with information that every cham owner, new and old should be able to fill out with ease. I'm not saying my husbandry was...

Do Chameleons possess the ability to recognize their owner?

I should think so. My cham is okay with me, when I am watching him (he doesnt like to be handled at all). But if someone else puts their face to his enclosure to look he puffs up at them. They're so great. I wonder if they wow at our ability to change colour every day (clothing) hahaha.

    Not getting enough heat..

I tried it, it wasn't getting anywhere near the heat in required for thea size of the viv. Nor did it attract him. He spent more time in his ambient zone then. His basking temp used to be around 82f and he wasn't interested. Since I upped it to 86f-ish he seems to bask a lot more. So maybe he...

    Not getting enough heat..

Okay, good to know. His basking temp all good. He does go to bask, it just takes him a while to get moving. I've recently added his feeding cup for dubia near his basking spot as well. Even though it's 150w it is controlled through a pulse controller so so it doesn't go above what he needs for...
