Hello, I would try a 60 watt bulb. You want to have one side of the top part of your cage to be his basking side which is hotter (around 100 degrees, although I'm not sure for a panther), and the rest to be a comfortable temperature around 80 or so degrees.
I use a 60 watt floodlight bulb with a metal dome on the top, and another clamp light that is mostly used for working on things (don't know if you know what I mean) as well as the UVB light. My temps stay around 98-102 on the basking branch. Everywhere else it stays around high 70's and 80's...
Thanks for the reply. My thermometer was bad, I bought a new one and it says around 100 degrees or so. I will be purchasing a 100watt reptisun bulb though since 3 heating lights is a big firehazard :D
I went into my local Petsmart today for a new Digital Thermometer (which rocks :D) and whatever else catches my eye and I looked at their reptiles. They had a sub-adult Jackson (for $99.99) in a small glass class enclosure, which had few things for him to climb on, as well as a plastic...
Hello, I have never used a reptarium, but from what I heard about them (Flimsy, chams getting their nails stuck in the mesh, bad drainage, bad lighting, ventilation, etc) in my oppinion, I would suggest to getting a cage like the Aluminum one here at www.reptiledepot.com or building your own...
It usually depends on several factors. But since he/she is growing, I'd say ALOT! My Veileds eat anywhere from 10 to 20+ crickets a day. I think I read somewhere that Adults should eat every other day. Can someone confirm this?
Right now, the basking side of my cage only gets to about 80 or so degrees Fahrenheit. I read Veiled's need it to be around 90-100 degrees. Right now I have 3 lights total lol. 2 lights for heat, and the Reptiglo 8.0. 1 light has a 60 Watt bulb, the other has a 75 watt bulb. This is starting...
