Peter doesn't seem to enjoy basking... instead he just sits right under his UV light the whole freakin' day. Except when I feed him, he'll move around and catch all the food I put in there within seconds, then go back to "basking" under his UV.
Is it because I'm giving him too little, or is...
When Ender does it, it sounds like he is sneezing. It's like a quick "HUFF" sound...... that's the best way to describe it.
Nothing comes out of his nose, though. No bubbling, no mucus, no popping or wheezing, no puffing... He just roams the cage A LOT and "sneezes" from time to time... like...
So Ender pretty much just finished off the rest of his coleus plant... Should I replace it with another one, or just let it regrow its leaves? It's got some nubs about to grow stuff......
I'm talking about Critter Cabana in Wilsonville :) I haven't gone to the reptile house maybe I'll go there this weekend! Where at in Tigard is it?
Yeah, I've heard stories about the flip flops xD I'll be careful with that!!! Whew!
What size is the enclosure he's in now?
How long ago did that fall happen?
It could take some time before he really feels safe around you again... they're very fragile creatures.
Ender, my Veiled, fell off of my back a couple weeks after I got him and it was back to the drawing board...
I'd fill out a how to ask for help form. He's definitely gaping, but those temps seem pretty much fine to me...
Maybe an RI, but not sure without more data, or possibly a trip to the vet... no alarms yet, just fill out the form and we'll see :)
Basking light is a bad idea if it's already that hot... I've tried using fans to at least circulate the air in the room and that cooled it down a bit here in Oregon on the really hot days (unless I'm using A/C, which I try to avoid). You could try that to make it more of a gradient of heat to...
Could someone send me to the right place to get the best thermohygrometer for my enclosures? I don't mind having a hand-held one, versus being on the wall of the enclosure. Just whatever is best!
Thanks,
Dillon
