I've been trying to convince my sister to let me borrow her fancy camera so I can take pictures of everyone but so far I haven't had much luck. My camera isn't the best but maybe I'll play around with some settings and see if I can make my pics look better.
I've been meaning to write a proper introduction on here for a while but stuff just kept coming up and I never got around to it. Now I'm suppose to be writing a research paper on plants and biotechnology so this seemed as good a time as any to help my procrastination! :p
My name is Kristin...
The best part of it was that he didn't charge me for it since it was such a small dose. I was dreading the vet bill since we just went out and spent a bunch of money on supplies to make him a new cage.
Phew...I just googled it and it looks like I don't have to worry about it. The vet called it Marquis, which is Bayer's version of it. I'm so relieved now.
Turns out we didn't need an actual appointment since he was already an established patient from doing all his fecals through them, so the vet came out and took him to the back and weighed him and gave him the meds. He told me what he was treating him with and I didn't recognize the name so I...
I was under the impression from Dr. Alfonso that coccidia can't be transmitted through the air and that it's only transmitted through fecal contaminated touch. Maybe I'm wrong but that's what I remember him telling me. I asked him about it in particular since we have our snakes in the same room...
I just made the appointment with my local vet for tomorrow. I'll see what they say and if I'm not comfortable with how they want to treat him then I'll just tell them no thanks and go to Dr. Alfonso. I'm going to print out the discussion that Jann had linked to me about Ponzuril and bring it...
Thank you very much for your help.
I'd love to go to Dr. Alfonso again but my husband and I both have crazy schedules, which involve driving out to Orlando multiple days for classes and since you can't take your chameleon to class with you (even though that would be cool!) we just don't...
I checked my phone after class today and had a message from the vet saying that our male panther, Joker's fecal test came back positive for coccidia again. When we first received him we took his first poop in for a fecal since he came from the same place where we had bought our first panther who...
I don't think we really have to worry about the crickets chewing out since he eats them so fast as soon as they get dumped in his cage.
The only aluminum screening I could find was silver colored (which is fine) but the mesh is so tiny it would obstruct our view into his cage. I wonder if I...
We are finally building Joker a nice custom cage! We went to Home Depot today to pick up all our supplies, but we are stuck at what type of screening to use. We have some aluminum screening already from when we built the cricket "house" but its very hard to see through it. We ended up buying pet...
Have you ever had a fecal test for parasites done?
I'm new to chameleons so I'm not an expert like most on here but I do know from my limited experience that they tend to sleep during the day if they're not feeling good. Our first chameleon was sleeping and being lethargic during the day and...
All your "kids" look great!
hahaha...one of my ball pythons is special as well. It's never a dull moment with her! Glad to hear about someone else with a snake that isn't quite all there. I actually think she's more fun to watch and handle...she may be my favorite, but shhh, don't tell the...
That's awesome that you have a dad that can hook you up! I'm very jealous here. :p
I think Pieds are one of my favorites right now. I'm tempted to get a pair of 100% hets and see how lucky we are.
I'm so jealous of the snowball!! And I bet those babies look awesome! We're going to start breeding ours soon. We're hoping to get some nice looking spiders and some bumblebees from them.
I'm hoping to get a male pinstripe at repticon so we can start making some lemonblasts.
Anyone else on here own some ball python morphs? Which ones do you have?
We currently have one male spider, one female spider and one female lemon pastel. I'm hoping to add some more to our little family when we go to Repticon in Tampa next weekend. Maybe convince the hubby to buy me a piebald...
Our first panther who had worms was given that. The vet said it was very safe and had little side effects. Unfortunately our guy didn't make it but it wasn't because of the panacur, just too many worms for him to handle. I talked about it with Dr. Alfonso (another recommended vet on here) too...
