    Welcome home Grimbold

It's not. Grimbold is Grimbold. I believe the Kammer's try to use names based on the Madagascar language. Grimbold's name loosely translated means "one who speaks no evil".

    Welcome home Grimbold

Because it is very hard to find a vein, the drug is inject subcutaneously (under the skin). Gizmo was "out" immediately but my vet told me to wait two hours until I took the next step. I know he did not suffer. Grimbold is two years old.

    Welcome home Grimbold

I need to buy a new usb connector for my camera. Probably won't be able to do that for a couple of weeks. Yes Gizmo was definitely a senior citizen in chameleon terms. He was healthy and eating right up to the end. What happened was he suffered a prolapse cloaca and was just too old to...

Wow Carol, what a gorgeous boy. If he's anything like his daddy, he'll be getting some amazing reds too.

    Welcome home Grimbold

Yeah! He's really digging it for sure. So cool to see him "solar panel" when the sun touches him. Did you use to go to the Tuesday chameleon meetings? If so, are they still going on? Sure hope so.

    Welcome home Grimbold

Thank you Crooked. Yes, they are really good people who genuinely care for each and everyone of their chameleons. When will you be getting your new baby?

    Welcome home Grimbold

Thank you JannB. New babies are a lot of work but acquiring a 2 year old adult male has it's own unique challenges. Everyday is better than the next though and he's calming down well.

    Welcome home Grimbold

After my beloved Gizmo passed (at the age of 7), I contacted the Kammers (Kammerflage Kreations) to acquire another cham. When they asked me if I would consider giving one of their retired breeders his forever home, I was thrilled. I picked up Grimbold 3 weeks ago. His adjustment has been...

    My Chameleon Washing Her Hands

I agree... stress is stress. I would never do something like that, not even for a minute. It may look funny (or cute), but not to the chameleon.

    Help please!

Does not look gravid (pregnant). What are the temps? Does she have enough branches so that she can choose a comfortable level to regulate her body temps? During the early days of adjustment, I found my baby panther on the bottom of the cage twice.... His temps were fine... he was just...

    Chameleon Licking Random Areas???

They use their "other" end to mark and their tongue's to "read" the markings.

    Chameleon Licking Random Areas???

I know that the males will rub their vents on branches to mark their territory, sometimes leaving sperm plugs... I believe that your cham is "tasting" or checking for these "marks". Just another way to see whose been using the branch.
