He's had crickets and (big) female Dubias. Maybe a silkworm but can't say for sure - didn't see him eat it. For some reason this guy won't eat silks or horn worms for me.
My Meller's squeezed this out this morning - is it a huge seminal plug? He is definitely male, as I saw his hemi. I've just never seen a plug this big before.
Thanks!
Thanks for the kind words about my new babies. Today was their one-year hatch birthday! (mine too....but more than one! lol).
gesang - I've been to the MelleriDiscovery website - it's awesome. I sure wish they would update it. It's been a while.
maxttu - Not sure what the...
Thanks to Julie T. - I was able to make another road trip for these beautiful sibling Melleri. They were born on my birthday - it was destiny! They are both full of spunk and personality. They have kept me laughing all day today - their first day here!
Miss Wiggles - cutest tail-less butt you...
Thanks again, everyone, for the kind words about Murphy. I've been hoping for another Melleri for some time now - I feel really lucky to have acquired him. He really is awesome!
Good question, actually. My Ambilobe really clutches me tight when he walks on me - he is an attention hog and insists that he be allowed to use me as a carriage. Lol. While this big Melleri is definitely the largest Cham I have ever had, he's so slow and patient when he's doing anything that he...
Thanks, guys! He's a colossal chameleon - no doubt about it! The sweetest thing, too. I'm already very attached! He will be in a FR in August when my roommate moves out.
Meet Murphy, my new cb Melleri from Fool2Think (ChuckG had hatchlings). He/She is an amazing animal and Thom did an awesome job raising him. I'm so lucky!
That's easy - Melleri for me! My gentle giant is by far my favorite - I can't help myself.
I also adore my Ambilobe from Kammer's. He's amazing! Lots of personality and very social. The easiest keeper to date by far.
I really loved the female Jackson's I had as well- my first chameleon. I...
I love this topic because I also struggle with this. Here are my two FR areas an the drainage creations I've come up with. Note that I have to use a wet dry vac DAILY to get the water drainage out of the red sleds. Yes - those fancy pans are plastic sleds I bought at the Dollar store! They fit...
Miss Lily - now I know what those crusties are on my male panther's vines! His man bogies!! Great shot of the hemis - I have yet to see either for my two. My vet saw my Melleri's somehow - they are sure strange looking.
Thanks!
Thanks for the nice comments you guys. My Oscar is such an awesome chameleon. He's had a tough life, but just keeps truckin'. I'd love to get another one! The only reason I know he's a boy is the vet found his 'junk' during an exam. lol
Laurie, did you get both of your...
