I forget what they're called, but if it's what it sounds like then they aren't directly dangerous to your chameleon but they can definitely destroy your plants. You can spray the leaves with soapy water to kill them but you may have to repot the plant to get rid of the eggs.
Totally agree with Ryan. The rostral process is also very unadvanced, so I doubt that's a male. If their eyes stay like that for any length of time I'd suggest you look into your vitamin A supplementation as well as your lighting. If it doesn't change soon I'd probably want to get in contact...
The white part is the urate, basically their pee. Mealworms are very chitinous and not recommended for chameleons both due to inferior nutritional benefits as well as the threat of impaction. So this is a likely culprit in your chameleon's difficulty passing waste. I would recommend superworms...
I meant just the opposite actually. At least in my experience they don't like you opening their mouth and catch on to your tactics. My chameleon has resisted the urge to open his mouth when I coerce him to longer and longer each time I try.
For what it's worth, I never experienced any vitamin A deficiencies until I switched to Dubias as a staple feeder. In fact I relied on them too much and diet variety really suffered, mostly because of their rapid breeding and the fact I couldn't feed them off fast enough! Of course, these were...
An ooooold book I had suggested using a small piece of film to open their mouths, but who has film any more? My vet recommended gently tapping either side of their nose and it seems to work pretty well for me (they don't even wait until they need to breathe, it's pretty much an instantaneous...
Do superworms actually bite that hard? I get bitten all the time and it never really hurts. In fact just yesterday I got a crazy one who treated me like I just insulted his mother (and in fact I may have just fed her to my chameleon haha) and I definitely felt the nip, but I wouldn't say it...
I don't know that anybody hates the rules to your contest. At 3:30 you said: "if you leave a bad comment and bad rating, you won't be eligible for this." That was a little vague and I think a few of us were curious exactly what you meant by this. If you meant rude, useless comments would...
I guess the flowers could have been painted with blood, but I don't see the sweat or tears! I'm pretty sure I see some wood and screen there, too, but I could be mistaken!
I haven't seen any politicians pass anything that's not bad for the economy in a while
I really hope PETA has no sway over how this goes. Do politicians respect them at all? It seems the common citizen's exposure to their cruelty is pretty high lately so I don't believe they have the people's...
Wait is his name Cham? You didn't capitalize it at least once and it is a general term for what he is. If he has no name, this is fairly alarming! You know what happens to chameleons without names, right? I can't even say it. If he doesn't have a name, give him one ASAP!
