my chameleon carlos had no stripes yesterday and he’s never done this when fired up. today he had these tiger stripes all over. is he okay? i got a bearded dragon yesterday and showed him to carlos so maybe he doesn’t like him but idk. i attached before and after photos. he is a male ambilobe...
my four month old chameleon has normal looking poops. today, however, i came home from a three day vacation. i left food and my mistking so everything was fine. i found this and it look like weird poop. is it just dried out or is there something wrong? keep in mind his others look completely...
my chameleon is almost five months. he eats A LOT. like 15-20 3/8 or 1/2 crickets a day. he also gets black solider fly larvae and dubias. when do i stop feeding him every other day, and for people with adults, how many bugs do you feed?
i’m planning on getting either a dragon strand or zen habitats enclosure. i know the dragon strand comes with a drainage tray. can someone show me how it looks/works? does it slide out or do you need to lift the cage off to get to the water? and how do you make a drainage system for a zen habitats?
i spray for one and thirty second an hour before his light turn off, and for two minutes before bed. then i spray at 10:30 pm for two minutes and at 2:30 am for two minutes. i did this bc i was recommended by people and breeders that spraying at night also is more realistic. HOWEVER, mt...
hey! here’s a picture. he’s now on his basking spot😁i read somewhere for ambilobe panthers that 85-90 is a good basking temp. what do you suggest? i lowered his basking branch and checked with a digital temp gun and now it’s around 83-85. there are other branches he also goes to which are cooler
He’s turned black i think to absorb the sun but he’s on a branch that’s the same temperature as the ambient temperature 77 degrees. the basking spot is at 85-90 degrees and he won’t go there. maybe he’s just adjusting but is this normal ? he’s hand feeding crickets and worms already though.
thanks so much! i got my chameleon today and his name is carlos. he’s already hand feeding and he loves the crickets and black soldier fly larvae we got from framschams!
hey thanks so much! I actually got the opportunity to meet them today and they gave me some pregnant dubias to breed as well as some worms! They were so friendly and I got to meet all of their chameleons like Starburst, Flash, Mondrian, Matisse—it was awesome! He eats crickets, dubias, and...
i’m getting him tomorrow from framschams. what do you recommend for a feeding schedule. i have crickets, dubias, and im also getting silkworms and hornworms soon
my lights turn on at 8am and off at 8:05 pm. i wake up at 5 am to catch the bus to go to school and get home by 3. by the time school starts my ambilobe will be 5 months. what’s the best time to feed him?
i attached fishing line and zip ties to secure my branches. most of the fishing line is out of the cage, but some parts have about an inch that is inside. can my chameleon get caught in the fishing line? what are the risks?
okay thanks! i think it was happening because some of the leaves in the enclosure were getting in the way. i moved my uvb in front of my heat lamp so it doesn’t get wet anymore.
i have paper towels lined at the bottom of my 2x2x4 enclosure and just installed a mistking with a double misting nozzle. whenever it sprays it soaks the bottom. the paper towels are there for easy cleanup to pick up poop. is this normal. will the paper towels dry up
