Yep i've tried that trick :D but he isnt having any of it haha!! Even tried to mist him whilst he's out and on his plant....but nope! hopefully he'll get used to it ...one day! :)
really :) oh im so glad you've said that :D the hardest thing i've found about having a chameleon is that i have nothing to compare it to, so it's hard to know whether he's healthy ...or not. Nice to have some reassurance tho to know i'm doing ok with him. I do try and spray him 2-3 times a...
heres some pics guys...one of him quite podgy and one of him a few seconds later...maybe its just the position hes sitting in...let me know what you think :)
Well when he looked 'bloated' i didnt notice a lot of poop in the vivarium to be honest-although he has been going to the toilet now. I feed him at about 5-6pm in the evening and the lights go out at 9:30pm. I cant feed him any earlier than that due to work. I am pretty sure he's a he :D he...
Hi everyone,
this may be a silly question, but wanted a little bit of clarification.
Can Chameleons suffer with constipation and if they do, why? I noticed last week my cham was starting to look a bit podgy and wondered whether he was just getting fat or maybe not feeling too well, as he...
Thanks guys for your replies, i think i'll probably try and rearrange his vivarium tonight. It's not going to be a major change just want to move some branches around so he has more levels to climb on, just hope it doesn't get too annoyed with me after i've done it haha :)
Bit of a random question but i'm thinking of changing my chameleons enclosure about, as in move some of his branches around so he has more things to climb on and add some more plants. I'm just wondering, as his vivarium has had the same layout since he's been in it, will this stress him out...
Hi guys sorry if this has been answered before but maybe someone can point me in the right direction?
I was wondering if there's anything i can do to get my chameleon used to me handling him...he's fine once i get him out but he doesn't readily climb onto my hand when i try and get him out...
Oh my!! how pleased am i to find this thread this morning!!! finally i know im not the only one!! Have had my cham for about 3 weeks not and i'm still trying to get to grips with feeding it locusts!! the things are onyl small atm so just managing but they freak me right out!! urgh!! i just wish...
ohhh right ok, i've been gut loading my locusts rocket as of yesterday, i read some where on here that they love that?! Also give them apples and potatoes :)
with the risk of sounding stupid....and blonde...what exactly are mustard greens??? Do we refer to them as something else in the uk??
sorry to sound so dim!!
ok thatnks guys! :)
when you've never had a chameleon before it's really hard to judge whats normal behaviour, and when to panic and not to panic!! :D
i'll try to mist him more than i'm doing so at the moment :)
Hi everyone,
Just wondering if you can give me a bit of advice on hydration? :confused:I'm slightly worried that my chameleon isnt drinking or getting enough water? i've had him for about 2 weeks now and i've only seen him drink once in front of me. (althought i'm aware that veiled chams dont...
