The battle between glass/screen kind of reminds me of so many battles that are posted on Saltwater reef aquarium web sites about deep sand beds and shallow beds or bare glass. Shame people post their feelings and personal opinions and not solid fact. Obviously both work and work quite well...

Yes I have witnessed this.. I even have a friend who is a pilot for a Major Oil company, he lives in Madagascar. He is the one who got me interested in Chams years ago. I have seen all sorts of video footage as well as creatures that are colors that we would all dream to own! :)

You said he is eating and drinking? He isn't losing weight. Most creatures sleep during the day if they are content or bored. Chams in the wild sleep during the day as they bask in the sun. If he appears healthy I'd simply say he is comfortable with you.

Every where in animal husbandry, when an animal eats dirt it is missing a nutrient in its diet. So if your Cham is eating dirt you are missing on something much larger than he likes the flower pot.

Curious, what ratio of safeguard, or panacure or rapidflex do you use. I know how to administer it to horses. However no cham has weight close enough to use the guidelines on the package. I am just curious.. my creatures are fine

I recently watched a video about Chameleons in Madagascar. and It pointed out that in the wild they prefer to sleep in a stable safe location, often far out on a branch. ?? Maybe he simply doesn't feel comfortable with the locations he has inside your cage ?? what if you moved a few things...

PETSMART and PETCO just scare me. They claim they love animals and the animals always come first yet they do so many things wrong. Like their Saltwater fish they keep in hypo-salinity which is a real shock to the poor animal and then when you get them home it takes 8-14 hours to acclimate them...
