Very interesting guys. Thanks for the quick responses. Wouldn't cutting holes in the glass weaken the bottom glass anyways? I'm not rejecting your ideas just stating an observation.
If I were to cut holes in the glass, how would I go about slanting the glass so puddles won't form. I do...
Hey guys!
I purchased my Mistking hoping I would not need a drainage system but it is clear I need one soon!
I've actually been thinking about this idea for a while (few months since I bought my cage). I have a glass bottom so I knew it would not be easy. I've decided to break the...
Beautiful setup! Like previously stated, keeping clean and mold free will be tricky but very impressive otherwise. I would love to do something like this one day.
I know what you mean. He doesn't do much but he is so interesting! He can be hanging from the screen and I think its the coolest thing in the world. Even him hating the sight of me is the coolest thing!
The first week my chameleon slept in different spots but now I know exactly where he sleeps every night. He has the same exact spot and gets settled in about an hour to 30 minutes before lights go off. He is still not 100% happy to see me but he doesn't mind when I walk by anymore. It use to...
Do not get a fogger! It will not produce water droplets and your chameleon will not drink from it. If you are looking to provide water for your chameleon, you must get a mister or hand mist.
Just got my mistking and after opening it I thought "What have I gotten myself into!" It looked real confusing but then I took everything out and in about 30 minutes it was fully installed. I set the timer and also did a top to bottom cleaning! My carpet is a little pissed right now due to...
I'm no expert but I've owned a Humidifier, fogger and my Mistking will be here in a few hours. I can tell you what a little about each.
Humidifier: Exactly what you think. I dont see the need unless you have a screen cage and would like to have a little extra bump in humidity.
Fogger...
Oscar is famous!
Oh and a big thank you! You given me a great idea for a date for my girlfriend. She is thinking about applying for Vet School and she would LOVE to be surprised by a Vet day!
Just wanted to update everyone. My Carpet is still eating great! I'm amazed by how much he eats. I bought a mistking and will install it Tuesday when It gets here. I decided to replace a fake plant with another possible Potho. I already have one in there and it is thriving so I'm...
Thank you for your response^
I have to agree that he is very shy. The back of the cage is like a Jungle and he hides back there all the time. He is still new to his cage so I'm going to give it another week and address this again. He is eating GREAT... pooping a ton. I just let him be but...
Chameleon Info:
Your Chameleon - Carpet, Male, 4-5 months. Been in my care for a few weeks.
Handling - I handle him MAYBE once a week to do a quick scan and clean around him.
Feeding - Feeding crickets. About 6-12 at a time, depends on how often he eats. I feed the crickets sweet...
Hey guys,
I'm interested in knowing how some go about feeding if their Chameleon is free ranged!!! If you have a greenhouse with a few Chameleons, do yall just let crickets go? Should be an interesting conversation.
