Melleri?
Hello Angie, welcome and congrats on new chameleon. Just wondering if it is a Melleri. Ever since I first found out about these guys I have been very intrested in them. You dont see many and never really see any for sale. They seem to have alot of requirements but if you can give...
Does anyone know anything about Blatta lateralis (a.k.a. Turkistan roach). I found these roaches from www.blaberus.com and they seem pretty cool. Since I have a juvi cham I would need a smaller species of roach. If you breed dubia can you keep track of hatches so that I could feed nymphs or...
crickets
I keep a bucket-o-crickets and I never have to touch them. I just shake out one of their hiding spots into a cup. Then I dust them in the cup and dump them into the feeding dish. I don't mind bugs but doing it this way is just quick and easy. After you get a cham your view on many...
supplier
I know where to get fruit flys, crickets, silkworms and just about any other bug I want. But I dont know a good spot to buy roaches. What do you guys suggest
eating
For awhile I was scared that my little Buddah (4 motnh old veiled) wasn't eating enough. This was a little bit after I got him and wasn't sure he was getting enough food since I couldn't ever watch him eat. Now I've had him for about a month I'll say, and boy is he a pig. I think all...
Those pictures are awsome. I love their stuby tails and that you can have many in the enclosure (which are very cool. Chams sparked my interest right away but in the world of chams these guys are exteremly cool. Hopefully within a year or two I will be able to get some of these little guys...
If it were to be a veiled only contest this month I'm 100% sure that there would be other months with only panthers and only pygmys or other types. I think every few months it would be great to have contests like this since it is different than what the contest normally is. The point is not to...
Veileds
I think that sounds like alot of fun. I think that they are beautiful animals but its hard to find pics of them because they are often overshadowed.
Buddah has now started his first shed since I have gotten him. I'm very excited since I've started to notice his orange start to come in. What I'm wondering is what should I expect or do. I've been spraying and misting alot to keep up the humidity and will probably give him a shower. So far...
Just an update on Buddah, I took him to the vet today since his urate was yellow and his eye was still closed. His eye is open and I have some drops to put in it. He also recieved alot of fluids. He is home now and looks to be doing quite well.
my pet store
I was in my only pet store in town today and they had a 1 1/2 year old male veiled setup for $250. But it was a terrible set up, the trees where taller than the enclousure and there is no way he could get light. He couldn't seem to use his tongue and his crest/back were burned I...
Krammers were all too young for me. I just got my little veiled from FLchams and I think Tara did too. Very good customer service and if you look at his breeder he is very beautiful. Also someone has pictures on their gallery of a grown up veiled from that breeder also great animal.
bad pictures
Hard to see much of anything from the pictures but her legs look odd to me. MBD seems to be a problem with chams, so I'm just gonna guess that it could be this but it would be nice for some more pictures and more expert input on this subject.
plants
I have a pathos in my cage and my 3 month old chomps on it quite a bit. I thought he was falling the first time until I saw him take a big rip out of a leave. Having plants that they can eat in their cage is excellent because then he can eat some vegitation whenever he wants. Also...
Hi all, I recently became the proud owner of a 1 month old and a 2 1/2 month old veiled chameleon. I love handling my snakes and all animals in general. I plan on letting these guys out of their cages alot once they get bigger. Since they are little I'm worried about handling them too much...
all better
I went over to my cage to check him out and I couldn't find him until I heard a "whack" and seen him chomping on a cricket right in front of me. He cruised for a bit more and then went to bask. After that he went back to cruising and turned his normal green. I must say the...
